No More Yellow Strip for RCMP A/Cst???

Postby dwest » Mon Jan 18, 2010 5:32 pm

I recently heard that there is no more yellow stripe for A/Cst...
Is it true? and if so what do you think about that?
By the way im not an A/Cst or anything but just curious. :?:
A lot can be said about how a person deals with an offence. Kicking a person when they are down doesn't make you look any better!

Looks like the world is coming to an end.
If you do not have access to the private side please do not contact me. I do not give employment advice other than what is publicly posted.

As long as they don't move it to the middle of their back, they'll be fine. :)

I had no idea that was the case until just recently when I heard it through a friend of mine, nice to have it confirmed although its not a big issue, I actually agree with the decision. I think it will help the public determine the A/Cst from the RM's :)

Yeah I agree, there are certain aspects of the RM's job that cant be done by A/Cst. labeling them as Police, even if it is Auxiliary, it still says Police and this Can still cause alot of confusion to the public. I thinks its a good program but may need a bit of tweaking...lol

That could well be the Blueline understatement of the year for 2010!

It is still early, there is bound to be someone who posts a bigger understatement then that.

Has it really been 10 years??? I guess I just never paid attention to what the A/Cst were doing until recently. Hey CO do I get an award for the understatement of the year???

Could you elaborate on that?
(I know - off topic...but this thread went sideways after about the third post).
