I voted 5-6. Four of those are almost 20 years old now due to being young, stupid and in control of dad's turbo charged T-Bird. The last was 2 years ago and it was for speeding in a school zone. I was lost and trying to find a street sign (which were all on the left side of the road) and missed the school zone sign. The municipal officer was understanding and only got me for 12 over. The same for me, very embarassed and paid immediately.

One. Photoradar doing 62 in a 50 zone. Was bugged out to a deployment during which the first article of mail I received was the same one lots of other guys received.

At first I thought I've had one ticket but then I read the previous post and remembered I got a Photo Radar dinger too. :P

My only "real" ticket was for speeding while heading down the hill on Hwy 7 just before you enter Norval (just outside of Georgetown, Ontario). People that are familiar with the area know it is (was?) a common place for speed traps.

The funny thing about this one was that I was 17 and on my BICYCLE!! Up to that point, I thought I was allowed to do anything on my bike. :)

3 tickets.

2 speeding (15 over for both, both reduced)
1 for passig in a no passing zone. I got a letter in the mail 2 days later stating that the charge was withdrawn. Followed up with the detatchment and it was true. Never even had a chance to pay it, nor did I find out it was withdrawn. (I still had to go to court though.)

None for speeding but I did get into an accident when I used to live in Windsor and got dinged for failure to yeild.

I had worked 20 hours and totally didn't see the other vehicle. Learned two lessons that day. First one being SLEEP! ;)

Yep, same here! working 3 days straight after a fire at Sick Kids Hospital. On the way home that parked car just jumped right out in front of me without signalling, looking, or yielding.

One ticket, 95 in a 70, seven years ago. Rightfully deserved, paid in full. I wish I could say that taught me a lesson. I had to wreck my car nine months later to learn to take the lead out of my foot. Thank God I didn't hurt anyone.

40% surcharge on your insurance, that'll learn you real fast. When I renewed last summer, it was the first time I've had a discount.

I had a ticket for 30 over... driving down the highway passing all the slower drivers and everyone was flashing their high beams at me. Anyone who was approaching was flashing their lights and I thought they were all being pricks so I was flashing mine back... all the way into a speed trap.

Apparently flashing your high beams at another driver on the highway means there is a speed trap ahead. Who knew....

Is the speed limit still 100km/hr on the 401?

Holy shit! Those photo radar things sure don't leave a huge margin of error in speedometer accuracy. I'll have to be careful when I move to Alberta.

I'd list them, but I think everyone here knows already.
