Since we are talking about knives here, I had a guy the other day at an accident that was acting a bit squirelly and I noticed he had a knife in his pocket. I walk up beside him and go to grab it out of his pocket and he puts his hand over mine to stop me. This is how the conversation goes.
Me: If you move to grab that knife, I'll shoot you in the face.
Him: (astonished) In the face???
Me: In the face.
Him: Why not in the arm.
Me: Because you could get up. You have a lot more vital stuff behind your face and I don't want you to get back up.
Him: well that's not very nice.
Me: I don't particularly care.
When things get bad, I take comfort in knowing they could always be worse.
When things get worse, I take comfort in knowing they can only get better.

For some reason, that makes me laugh. You would think people would be smart enough to know that when grabbing for something that is/could be used as a weapon, in front of an officer, nothing good can happen. Then again, society as a whole is getting dumber and softer.

He probably believes those Toronto Star articles, where you're supposed to judo-chop the knife out of his hand.

LOL. It's an overused word, but that conversation is surreal, almost like it's going to continue like this, just before you wake up:
Him (grabbing for knife): Well, I'm grabbing it anyway.
You (drawing weapon): That's it, face-shooting time. I warned you.
Him (realizing he has actually pulled a banana out of his pocket): Now this is a predicament...
You (holstering weapon and going hands-on): I don't particularly care, you're still getting a noogie.

I'm trying to think of a witty response, but to be honest I'm scared I'll miss spell it or not use proper grammar. :D
