Documentaries?

Postby EsivarT » Tue Apr 12, 2016 5:46 pm

Hey everyone! Extremely long time lurker, new poster. (As you could probably tell!)

Just wondering if anyone wanted to share some interesting documentaries they've seen? Preferably related to law enforcement but feel free to bring any genre into it! Forgive me if I posted this in the wrong section.

A great miniseries of the LAPD; Southland. Also end of watch
Ever listen to k billy's super sounds of the 70s?

"...if every time, Snot Boogie stole the money, why’d you let him play?
... Got to. It’s America, man."

I second Courage in Red and End of Watch

Additionally, Through a Blue Lens.. Which you can watch on youtube. It was made by some Sergeants at VPD who also teach Police Judo. It's not necessarily about law enforcement, more of Downtown East Side and the stories that go on in there.

Thanks, guys. Taken note of everything.

Watched both a couple of times, haha. Thankfully they're not as exaggerated as some other shows/movies.

"The Seven Five", documentary about one of the most corrupt New York Police precincts in the 80s. Super solid film.

Not LE related, but...

'WAR'
Probably the best documentary series on the nature of war
In this episode entitled "Anyone's Son Will Do" Gwynn Dyer explores probably the harshest reality associated with war.

I was in the military when this series was produced. Looking back... Dyer nailed it bang on.
