Re: Quick question
Jim, it sounds like you've been reading "Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement" by Kevin Gilmartin, Ph.D. (Tucson, Arizona: E-S Press, 2002).
And, it sounds like a bunch of people should read it.

Re: Quick question
I read it after I saw his seminar about 5 years ago maybe a bit less so yep, that's where it stemmed from.. The article just seemed revant...and ironic.

Beware of the boy scout leader who works in a didlo store. Always be suspicious of clowns as well.

Yeah, even cannibals steer clear of clowns. They taste funny.

i was never in scouts but I picture all scout leaders as this guy:

Re: Quick question
My scout leader growing up was a Sergeant in the O.P.P.
Re: Quick question
I was involved in scouting for most of my childhood. I'd say from age 8 to 15 or so.
Every adult I knew seemed rather selfless and sincere. I mean I could never understand why some of them would put up with the shut us kids gave them.
No molesters or abusers... Some might have been s little square, but on the whole... Good decent folk.
Of course this was the 70's... Maybe things are different these days.

Admit nothing.
Deny everything.
Make counter accusations...

Always love how the media states in these cases that he passed the police check. Well duh! Unless you have a previous conviction, it is not going to show.
And just want to say, when I was in Cubs/Scouts back in the 70's, every leader I had was spot on. And my son's leaders are the same way.

Re: Quick question
Greying hair, face pock-marked from severe teen acne, overbite, awkward in social settings involving adult women and a laugh like a donkey getting branded on the nardsack.
But enough about Wayne.

Yes, I said it.
You just won't admit that you did too!
