Nah, the only Scout leaders I've seen are dorky and seem to be immature.

So what you're saying, Jim, is that volunteering as a scout leader may not be as valuable for a policing career as being, say, a kids help phone volunteer?

It's unfortunate a few bad apples give all of the others involved a bad name. All Scout leaders are now painted with the same brush.
