Sad day. I was away from a television or radio yesterday so I didn't hear this until I woke up and read the papers. My condolences to his family, and to all of you police officers.

Thanks Marcus. Sherwood Park is a nice place, how come you moved to Manitoba? You mean to say that you don't miss this nice up and down weather of Alberta?

Nothing motivates me more than the fact that I don't have a badge in my wallet. If I want to get it in there, I think I need to keep my fitness level up!

I am also interested to hear if this would be an automatic DQ. I have a minor case of asthma just like yourself, and IMO, don't feel it would affect the job I could do. I guess I don't make that decision though. If I get deferred permanently because of asthma, I am not sure what I will do yet.

I too have heard that the EPS is quite difficult, but the way I look at it, is you have to be in a lot better shape than what the minimums for the department are anyways. It does say right on the website that you must strive for numbers higher than the minimums if you want to be competitive.
