Re: Shamwow guy slapchopped....

I love how Israel was spelled "Isreal" in the report.

I didn't know he was over 6ft tall. Wow.

He def. got it worse than she did as evidenced by the photos.

That last fight where Lesner was to be the favourite, cant remember who he fought, but got tapped out with a knee lock. Very lack lustre fight.

That was his first fight against Mir.

That's incorrect, see UFC 81 for reference.

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hey...been awhile since I've been around. Lots of talk here--some negative, some positive, some testy. I just want to put out there that I'm a relatively new BSO (<5 years) who went through the whole process--spent time in two pools that expired and/or were cancelled, did Rigaud and have been on th...

Re: LE Private Discussion

I guess I was worried most about the email not being received because I was half expecting an auto email or an acknowledgment that my request is being looked at. Thanks.

Re: LE Private Discussion

I sent in an email from my work email address a few days ago. How long does it typically take to obtain access or receive a return email?

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Wow I am impressed. People are finally recognizing/realizing the negativity that plagues the CBSA threads.

Honestly, there needs to be support around here, instead of grinding people into the ground for asking "stupid questions" or making odd statements etc etc.

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

The interview and the psych test will not be on the same day. Sometimes, they are even months apart. You need to pass the interview first (and have some time elapse) before undergoing the psych test.

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Ok I finally contacted the CBSA and asked when an interview MIGHT be held in my area and was told that since Im the only one in my area awaiting an interview, it's not going to happen. If I wanted an interview I'd have to drive down to Vancouver where they are holding interviews "daily". ...

Does your employer prefer that you do not post on Blueline?

Before I was hired my class was spoken to about the dangers of Blueline, Facebook, etc. I understand the need to be careful about posting photos online and otherwise private info, but why do they prefer that you don't post on Blueline? There was a Blueline magazine in one of the recruiter's office f...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Thanks for the info so far, I'll add some more of my own to see if anyones else might be in the know. 1. In speaking with the CBSA recruiter, she told me that my employer, the CSC, would probably allow me to go on "a secondment" for the 9 week training period. And if they refused, she wou...

Re: Essential Items for Rigaud

Regarding the stage.... I know of someone who "humped" the stage to try and gather up good luck and he left Rigaud without a badge. I knocked on it every time I passed by it and it worked for me....just have to find a middle ground I guess. Regarding essential items.... some things have al...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Some professionalism from the active officers? Clearly you haven't read all 243 pages. It's in there somewhere, I promise. Keep reading.... Maybe you should consider a career in teaching instead? This is a (relatively) informal internet forum. If we all crossed our "t's" and dotted our &qu...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hey all (again), In the meantime though....few more (unanswered) questions regarding Rigaud and who has been there recently: 1. Lockers. It was mentioned to me that there are lockers there for personal use. Has anyone used one? I am concerned about taking a video game system there and it being stol...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

To be totally honest, I am surprised that there is not more of a physical requirement. I am looking forward to eating 3 meals a day and being in a bootcamp style setting. Hopefully it will put my @ss in gear. I have always been treated well by the public even if I am a bit overweight, but I want to...
