Re: Do LEOs value Security personel?

I'd like to add.....the property you "protect", regardless if you're a LPO, site officer or do mobile alarm response is INSURED. It can be replaced. Ones life and health can not. Sure its called life insurance! Wait, Maybe thats why my wife keeps encouraging me to take risks...... Lol.

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hello all, A question about the security clearance. I lived and worked in S.Korea from 2001-2014. I had a management position for 9 of those years, but will be unable to verify that as the business changed its name and then went bankrupt in 2013. The owners have not responded to contact and there w...

Re: Recent Alberta tragedy.

It is sad actually, leaving an Aux or any other member on their own to deal with shit after being shot and/or traumatized is pretty low and pathetic. Taking all to account, I am not surprised members jump ship by the "dozens". In fact, some agencies are holding off on accepting recruit app...

Re: Recent Alberta tragedy.

I have found an interesting tweet on tweeter today. Then I reasearched and found the post itself. m So terrible to learn that after putting his life on the line and being shot and wounded... Dereck was left alone. I believe, this is Derek's response to a post about the Wynn's Law. Derek Bond This tr...

History of when and why RCMP Auxiliary Police were Disarmed

History of when and why Auxiliaries were Disarmed 2015/01/20 "Retired A/Cst. H was contacted and confirmed that Auxiliary Constables have never been armed with a sidearm in Nova Scotia. H was one of the original nine NS Auxiliary Members in 1974 and just retired a couple of years ago. Auxiliar...

Re: MP vs RCMP

And then.. if your ultimate goal is a K9 section and RCMP.. apply to RCMP.
I know couple of 5 year members 'raising' a dog in hopes of getting into the unit.

Here, it is all voluntary, sweat equity, competitive, on top of your regular duties. No guarantees trial deal.

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

Some won't need much training... "Well we have just heard hear in D division that Manitoba will recognize only teir 1 for us. We're supposed to wear golf shirts and civilian pants now. As I read in the email that the kits are available but no pictures yet. All I have to say is that we've waited...

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

I actually wouldn't mind the Peace Officer patch. But, as far as I know, no set in stone decisions about the uniform were made yet... so not sure where his comment came from.. "Pelley was recently at a conference where the topic of auxiliary police officers was discussed and said he is hoping t...

Re: Life as an RCMP officer in the West

If you are from Surrey or near by, and you want Surrey, and you actually get Surrey... It's a great place, it's an animal of its own (800+ members) and if one wants to, one can spend their whole career there. ----- Had a pleasure to work couple of nights at the Cloverdale Rodeo this year again > tha...

Re: NIGHTSTICK NSP-1170

I use the NSR 2070 which is rechargeable, I believe the NSP 1170 uses AA battery cells? I have never had any issues with it. The charge lasts for whatever I use it for. They claim 7.5 hours as a regular flashlight and 4 hours in the red/blue strobe mode on a single charge but I can't comment on this...
