Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

Absolutely right.
I could argue the Commitment and Devotion part.

All this what I say makes no difference anymore. The program, as I know it, is gone.

I will say tho that it was a great honour to serve with the members that I have made friends with the last few years.

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

Also, BC Aux fall under the BC Police act s8. (Keep reading down a couple) BC Auxiliaries, as appointed Peace Officers, having the same power, authority, and imunity (plus all the liability that comes with it) as a Provincial Constable answer for any wrong doing to the BC IIO and RCMP internal code ...

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

I was once on the way to PRTC for some training, stuck in 45 min crawl driving an unmarked on HWY 1. I had motorcycle operators argue with me they can take the "right shoulder" to get-by the stand still traffic. You were driving a police car by yourself. You are not a police officer. You ...

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

I respect your comments Dave. Edit. Just a couple of thoughts. -Any Aux talking about what they did last night on shift should get a boot. -Whatever you say I should be familiar with, I am not. -Cant say All but here, we don’t overstep boundaries, we might walk the line but that’s all. Aka driving m...

I can. White shirts?, any and all of the haters?

Certainly not Auxiliaries.

I can’t images anyone sane, with a bit of self respect, after all these years in service,.... wearing this thing.

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

The Post?

A while back I did see the picture on there of the proposed (or now apparently approved) design of the uniform. I absolutely love the arm patch. Plus I read the FAQ doc.

Not surprised by your comment. Neither would I.

Re: EDiv A/Cst's petition to Minister of Public Safety

There was a post by Dave Brown (in reply to mine), about his disbelieve that RCMP Auxiliary Constables were taken to and attended files... aka domestic files, and other files that might be personal to the victim. Dave stated that if he learned that a volunteer attended to his complaint.. and this vo...

Re: Toronto ETF (the security company)

Apparently, in 2018, the “low income” families are put into the same pot as the shitrats. etfsec@86shredz the PSISA is from 2005, were now going into 2018. We work with murderers, drug dealers, gang bangers, and low income people. Our use of force will be justified believe us. I'm not worried. Peppe...

Re: Vancouver Transit Police questions

For those that are interested, Transit police are looking to hire quite a few members for 2018. Mainly hiring recruits and the odd experienced officer. Now is a good time to apply. Where did you hear this from? I am currently a member with Transit Police and the recruiting outlook has been announce...

Re: minimum number of days notice

Sometimes it can be very difficult to give the standard 2 weeks notice, if a service is cutting it close to the wire for sending out offers. No one wants to risk "jinxing" their chance of getting an offer, by jumping the gun and telling an employer "Hey, I'm in background, I'll proba...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

This is really interesting. I am applying through Manitoba, and for our entrance exam they did not mention any recommended dress code. I showed up in leggings and a tshirt, passed the exam, and everything is still moving along smoothly! And there recently was an 8 year serving police lateral applic...

@ATR

Agree.
However, it appears that in today's Policing education in viewed as more important than life experience, volunteering and the 'know how'.
