Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

mtlfan79 Thats a good two cents and I agree 100% This site IS more informative, but to the point doesn't always have to be degrading to others, making fun of mistakes that some may make and so on. If the hubbys have to pack up and go....wives have to pack up and go with them. Not all wives are Polic...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hi there! I'm not applying RCMP....but the process is similar..... We all want answers to questions, and the one thing thats unfortunate online is that you can't see the persons face or disposition when writing posts. When I read Chaps posting, I too went 'What the.......!' Just because you post so...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

What I meant by my post in regards to drug use, is that my home town is very small and the majority of the people living here are criminals or drug users, I am not. Which is why I have distanced myself from those that I have known all my life (small community everyone knows everyone). By no means a...

"Some weapons and rounds when they hit hard substances like wood, they can actually pick up velocity and start to move through those and then go through the next piece of drywall. This round is designed not to do that, so there is no overpenetration so it will crumble apart," explained Hi...

Re: VPD couldn't prove they owned "bait bike" charge dismissed

There ought to be a presumption at law that a Police Officer's testimony is accurate and honest. I've never known it to be otherwise. When you think about it, though, there are few charges (at least criminally) where only the testimony of a Police Officer is necessary to convict. Most assaults and ...

Re: University Certificate

Not gonna lie, I agree, it makes no difference to me whatsoever if it's called police force or police service. It's like the people who run around constantly going "its a legal system! not a justice system! jeez!". Pointless. Ummm....is this an actual conversation that got......how many c...

Waterloo Regional is the only muni/regional service that has switched back to the blue/white sceme. ....uh, no they're not. There are a handful of agencies in the south that have gone that route, although I do believe Waterloo was the first. I was going to say the same thing at first, but technical...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

How high is this vault? Are your feet allowed to touch it? With the O.P.P Prep test, its required 'for safety reasons' that your foot touch the top of the 4 ft wall, and you propell yourself over. It sounds hard, but really isnt. Its surprising. I think it may be a bit more daunting if you're not to...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Good on you for passing! That's the main thing. I did a practice six laps of the obstacle course portion of the PARE course on Sunday and even with other people on the course at the same time as me, I still cut 10 seconds off my PARE time from a couple of months ago. What I have been doing that has...
