Re: Park Warden Question?
Not if you're the old man at the park (Not to mention that at my park we Wardens do not hold the "Rock Star" status that other park wardens seem to carry elsewhere....) So I can safely say that it has not happened to me. Yet...... Nah, I just think it's the fact that you look like Shrek.....

Almost every warden I knew fell for a gate attendant at one point....... yours truly included... it's the gate attendant allure - they'll get you no mat...

Re: Park Warden Question?
Hello everyone! Just a question for you guys regarding the 3 week Park Warden Training Course. I start the course next month and my understanding is that there`s a focus on the legislation and use of force training. I was wondering if there`s anything else I should prepare for and is there any tric...

Re: Training for the PREP help.
I use the High Intensity Interval Training on a treadmill to prepare for it - I can't take full credit as the following program was sent to me initially by Devilwoman. It works fantastic though - I've seen huge gains in my cardiovascular performance (I use incline 5.5 but you could change that as ne...

Re: Shuttle Run pass 40-49
Maybe it's just my stubby short little Scottish legs but I certainly ain't walking the first few levels . My view is that there are two ways to help prepare for the shuttle - the first is look into HIIT training (high intensity interval training) - the sprints really do help to improve your cardio s...

Re: A nation of $100,000 firefighters
I get the reason, and, to an extent, I agree with it. Maybe I am misinformed, but if there is a serious accident, say bad car crash, do the victims still have to pay? In Ontario you don't pay for an ambulance call - you only pay the 45 dollar fee if you get transported to hospital by them. It's abs...

Can you contest the bill? Good luck trying... http://news.ca.msn.com/ontario/oshawa/oshawa-angler-on-the-hook-for-scugog-rescue-bill I actually hope he gets a lawyer and makes an issue out of it. I have a huge problem with the FD sending people a 5,000 dollar bill to be rescued when they call 911. ...

Re: Windsor police recruiting
What Ironside posted years ago is still true. With Windsor, this cadet position is the only way to be hired as a Police Officer. Kind of like St. Thomas, you are hired, do station work for awhile until you get selected to go to OPC.

Re: ENFORCEMENT INTERN: Ministry of Natural Resources
Don't feel bad, there is a giant list of Park Wardens and DCOs with extensive Natural Resources education/experience who would have applied for this spot... competition would have been quite fierce.
