Re: Medical Cat III and Rigaud

Hi everybody, very happy to know I've completed the PAL and BSOT and that my interview has been set. I would like to know if the Cat III Medical exam will care about my weight? I am not skinny. I'm 6'5, 300 pounds and my sport is strongman training. So if my weight could be a problem to the next st...

Re: Impaired Driver Turns Himself In

It was the "going to an appointment at 10AM with an open bottle of liquor" that makes me think that this might not be your average drunk driver and that something else could be going on here. I suppose that the circumstances will come out in court. The guy probably needs help but he also n...

Well, that's certainly troubling. You probably are best to keep this private. The good people here will definitely be able to give you proper advice. I wish you well.

Re: Who's at fault in this accident? (video included)

The HTA is not my area of expertise but I'm wondering why a guy would post a youtube video of an accident when he was clearly his fault.

If you want it - go after it.

As a guy who's about twice your age, I'll just say that I don't regret any of my failures but I do regret the things I didn't pursue.

Re: A lighter shade of blue

I had a look at the page earlier and I believe that your intentions are admirable. Nice to see the good news stories and the positive contributions of law enforcement officers to their communities being given the attention it deserves.

I do agree with the moderator's decision though.

Re: Rights against unpaid bills

I think that this is a hypothetical situation. This sort of thing happens often in the trades. A mechanic is in a different situation because they have the vehicle. For plumbers, electricians, carpenters, etc. they do not have that leverage. I do understand because I know people in those lines of wo...

Re: Rights against unpaid bills

But there is no forced entry. I'm still in the home doing paperwork with the homeowner. And if you are directed by the rightful owner to leave a premises and do not, you are trespassing. Removing parts from the furnace; destruction of property/mischief. Get into a physical confrontation with the ow...

Re: CBSA Vests

Lots of very good input on the wiki site. It's refreshing that they are looking for our opinions but the real test will be in the implementation.
Skeptical but remaining hopeful.

Re: Police retraining

People have been migrating from shitty places to better ones since our species learned to walk. This is nothing new. And I say this as a product of two Hungarian immigrants who came here between the two Wars, so don't make the leap any anti-immigrant inferences. I thought we were talking about thos...
