Re: Wtf rcmp hiring....???
Regarding the citizenship requirement, I thought the CBSA requirement might be interesting: You mention that “preference is given to Canadian citizens”. I am a permanent resident, can I still apply? As per the poster, applications submitted by persons who are not Canadian citizens are accepted. Howe...

Re: Wtf rcmp hiring....???
Coming from CBSA where we've been moving toward RCMP hiring practices for the past several years - the world has just been turned upside down.

So what's the deal with those traffic ticket "quotas" that explain why I'm more likely to get one near the end of the month?

Re: Ask the CBSA!
It was a long time ago that I attended Rigaud so I'm out of touch with the current system. Who is paying the airfare? If it's you, I can't imagine why they would care how you get there. If they are paying, I don't see why you couldn't choose to forgo the airfare and drive yourself but in that case y...

We even have what coin collectors would refer to as "error coins". These can be quite valuable in the coin world since they are quite rare but unfortunately for the patch collectors they probably produced 100,000 of those.
CBSA is to patch collectors as Canada Post is to stamps.

Re: Toronto police rolling out carbines
Here we have yet another example of a police-related matter where the uneducated are experiencing a gut reaction to something. In this case it is a fear of those scary looking "high powered military style assault rifles" and the "militarization of law enforcement". But what is tr...

Re: Toronto officer charged with second-degree murder
I'd like to see more of this information getting into the mainstream media. I think that most people are simply uninformed or misinformed about use of force realities and for the most part the media and many advocacy groups find it profitable to keep it that way.

The numbers don't lie. The idea that Conservatives are the great stewards of the economy is utter nonsense. I don't understand why some seem to cling to that idea when the evidence clearly demonstrates otherwise. http://warrenkinsella.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/federal_defecit_conservative_libe...

Re: Federal Election
Time to reshuffle the Canadian political deck of cards. While I agree with much of what the CPC has done, I don't often agree with their tactics. m We'll have a minority government for a short time and the sky will not fall. All but the most strident CPC supporters should recognize that if the CPC g...
