Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
The process I applied to is different. It was confirmed at interview that those in my process would know their potential POE before starting the formation in Rigaud. They also did a small communities process before, which was quite specific on the POE that would need to be filled. I don't know how ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
Hi guys, I need advice. My CRFSC and CFSC will end tomorrow. CBSA has given me till April 3 to provide proof of completion. RCMP takes 4 to 6 weeks to mail a stamped copywhich means I may not have a copy of my results by then. What kind of confirmation will be acceptable so I don't miss the deadlin...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
Sometimes people just need to tell it like it is. What a difference from when I went through just 10 short years ago with another Federal agency... so many sacrifices and noone said boo. We didnt even get an allowance while away for training. The entitlement is strong these days. If you want it. Yo...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
Is recruitment always this much of a joke? If this is really a career you want to pursue, I'd be mindful of what you're saying on a public forum. That being said, and as other users have replied saying, much of this process will be done on your own dime. I had to travel two hours for my interview. ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
As I have posted here earlier, a week ago I got an invite to a CBSA interview in Rigaud (I live in Ottawa). Per advice given here, I told them that I have no way of getting there and can't afford the costs for renting a car and getting a hotel, not to mention it conflicting with university, and req...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
You can email them and ask for alternative location, explaining the reason (no car, no easy public transport). If it was me, I would rent a car and go :) I am not aware of any assurances by CBSA yet to know your PoE in advance at this time. Let us know what the officers at your interview say about ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
As if I just got an interview invite after they previously bounced me from the process? I won't complain but can somebody make this make sense? And as if they give me 8:15 am in Rigaud (I live in Ottawa) when I don't have a car of my own. Does anybody know if I'd be subject to knowing my PoE in adv...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
... Imagine how it would work if everyone just quit when they didn't get Pearson. I believe most applicants will agree with me that assigning the POE at invite time will be a huge improvement of the current random process. I would agree and assign PoEs within the same province at least, that way ru...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
Security Clearance granted yay! Can anyone shed some light on how the relocation works when you get posted somewhere? Do they send you there for a few days to find a place to stay? Or do they have people that find something for you? Thanks! You have two weeks from graduation to starting at your por...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT
Just wonder why some candidates can skip the OTEE directly go for interview? Back in November 13 2018 I received an email from CBSA stating that i met the merit criteria identified for screening with my graduation with a minimum two-year college diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution ...

Re: FSWEP SBSO 2019-20
Thank you for the response, I am 18, first year university studying Criminology, I guess I need some more life experiences. Just sad because I had my heart set on this..... oh well. NS :| If it means anything, I've tried every year for the past 4/5 years for SBSO and haven't been contacted in any o...
