Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Was the RCMP salary always as shown below or it has been increased? I don't remember it being 86k after 3yrs. 86k is a lot of money. I don't even know why people complain about RCMP salary, I'm currently making half of that. I don't even know what I'm gonna do with that much money, I'm single, no k...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

If you guys dont know where to start with your training, the RCMP have their suggested preparation on their sight but id suggest googling the Army fitness manual. If your already fairly fit challenge yourself with the JTF-2 pre-selection guide. Both have guided workouts.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Coopers run isn't done. Only mandatory times are the pare. How are you running a faster pace for 8km than your 5km? After the first 5km im fried. I run at about 5:15/km for te first 5km but after that I slow down to 7-8minutes a km. But if thise times arent set in stone i wont worry to much and jus...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

This is NOT true. You need to pass the first one. If you fail you get a redo. Same goes for the rest but the time/weights change. If you are having issues with the PARE or looking for ways to better your time you need to do two things: 1- up and down stairs past the point of wanting to vomit. 2 - b...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

From what Iv'e seen nobody gave a damn about what you wear at the entrance exam. Im not saying you shouldn't suit up, but i doubt that it could get you in trouble. I see a few of you have missed the point entirely. It's not whether THEY care what you wear; it's whether YOU care what you wear. Anyon...

Iced Canuck wrote:Those seem like pretty reasonable prices, I'll definitely take a look into those places. How long did you have to wait for booking those appointments?

I had to wait about 2 weeks because of availability. Talking to a few others I know going through, its the cheapest place to get the tests done.

Thanks, and I hope that everyone's application processes are going well! Hey. I did my vision test at ...
