Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Just found out I passed the polygraph! Also notified that my file is being handed to another coordinator for the background, medical and final review. Will this at all slow down the process? I believe it is standard. When I first started the process, my (very good) FC let me know she'd be handling ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

So if im waiting for my RMAQ can I go do the PARE already or I need to wait they gave me the go since i'm before the new rules? Isn't the RMAQ just a form you fill out in the SP? I just finished the SP and thought the RMSI was next There will be an RMAQ review via phone. They will set a time with y...

If the kids are going to miss their mother and they're already worried about the adjustment, imagine if both parents just up and left for 6 months.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

2 days ago, i visited the RCMP website and noticed that the hiring process has slightly changed....no more RMAQ? anyone know more about this? The RMAQ is still mentioned under forms completed, as well as referenced under the PEP. The process doesn't seem to have changed, just how they present it on...

I applied online last week in RCMP and I was wondering how long did you wait before a recruiter contacted you.

Thanks

The email you likely received after applying should have said you will hear from a recruiter within 30 days. As for timelines throughout the entire process, it highly varies.

I'd like to think i'll apply again in 4 years, but thats a while away. I'll see what this appeal process is about and if it's worth it at all.

:dropjaw:

Is the deferral 4 years?

The appeal might be worth doing, who knows.

Re: RCMP British Columbia applicants

Hey all. Just wanted to provide an update from my RMSI yesterday. I passed and the forums really help affirm my preparation for it. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who have been supporting other applicants on the forum. Reading posts on this forum helped me focus in more for my RMSI. Good for yo...

Re: Female spouses in depot

I'm sure it's different for everybody, but visiting every weekend seems highly unrealistic judging by how member friends have described their time at Depot. Free time is at a premium, and visits are more likely over the long weekends. I think setting more realistic goals might help your family trans...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Thanks for everyone who gave their knowledge on postings, sure I would love to go to Southern BC or Southern Alberta but will go where the need is, its tough when you have a family and they are trying to prepare for a move to who knows where, just trying to give them a province where we will probab...

Re: *** ASK AN RCMP RECRUITER ***

Hello! I'm so happy to have found this forum (as I'm sure many are) I'm just on the selection package of the process now, so a ways to go yet. However, I have a question that mind seem trivial but I can't seem to find the answer. I'm filling out all the forms and required document and 'applicant ID...

How'd your PARE go?

Re: Municipal Dept vs RCMP

That's something I look forward to if I ever get a career in policing. That small town feel! Oh yea, that small town feeling, where your backup is at home in bed (or in the next detachment 45 minutes down the road and you're an hour north of your detachment!) and you may have to arrest and zap your...

Re: RCMP British Columbia applicants

Is there anywhere in/near Kamloops to do a practice PARE test? Or anywhere that has a push/pull machine? Thanks I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I believe Surrey is the only place to practice. They will let you practice the day of your PARE. To be honest, I found the push pull component the ...
