Security Screener pleads guilty to theft

m There is always the risk of being robbed when you’re traveling but generally you wouldn’t think it would happen at the airport and at the hands of airport staff. A Vancouver International Airport (YVR) security screener Yuriy Ruvinskiy, who is in his 30s, entered a guilty plea to eight counts of t...

Re: CATSA needs more training? NO WAY!

I had a guy try to get out of a fare evasion ticket by showing his Security Guard Licence and telling me he worked as a Security Screener at the airport. He was acting like a bit of an ass so he ended up with a $173 fine. I guess some are good and some are not, depends on the person I guess.

Re: Booting Vehicles on Private Property

I would question the legality of booting for not paying a private fine. Private fines are not able to be disputed in a court of law (like POTs) and thus are at the discretion of a private body. I disagree with that. I could put a sign on my lawn saying if you park a car on my driveway you owe me $1...

Re: 5 Mounties Shot in Moncton NB 3 Killed

I'm glad this piece of shit goof is in custody. I read somewhere he had the "Free man on the land" ideology. Fuck him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the RCMP members and their families. Rest In Peace.

They talked about it with our laptops, but since we mostly work in pairs they are fully functional when the vehicle is in motion.

Re: Armed "Community Constables"?

They aren't arming Commissionaires, they are deploying 20 uniformed Commissionaires for foot patrol immediately while they are looking at developing a new program that will provide armed community constables, which almost certainly will not be externally contracted employees such as the Corps of Co...

Armed "Community Constables"?

Anyone else hear anything about this "Community Constable" program staff by Commissionaires being armed in Surrey? m SURREY — The City of Surrey is planning to hire another 95 RCMP officers over the next five years. Council endorsed the proposal during today’s police committee meeting. May...

Re: PlayStation 4

How are the games graphics on the PS4 compared to the PS3? I only have a PS3 for now (until my wife lets me get a PS4).

Re: Corporate security or TTC Bus Operator

If I had to choose one or the other, I would take the Bus Operator position as it's full time. If, after a while, the security/LE field still interests you, you could always apply for the TTC Transit Enforcement Unit (soon to have the Special Constable status back??). If you can do both, great, but ...
