Re: Volunteer group responding to emergency calls

I wonder if he convinced his son he was a police officer, or if his son became super embarassed when dad came to pick him up, knowing dad was a real police officer? Good on the gas station attendant for calling in the licence plate. I'm glad EPS got this guy. Who knows what he might have done next.

Re: Volunteer group responding to emergency calls

Holy shit!! With all those empties in the back they can afford a few ltrs of gas m I think the new Green/Primer scheme with the Canadian Tire $20 amber lights is quite distinctive and allows the group to be clearly identified ... In BC, you need a permit for Amber Lights. What about in Ontario?

Re: Volunteer group responding to emergency calls

"Incident commander"... "dispatch"... "cancelling the OPP"... What? This is absolutely hysterical! I wonder how they are paying for all the gas they are using. From the $70.19 in donations? The rest probably goes on Mom's Visa card with a promise to pay her back by doi...

Re: Phone Pouch & Belt Location

You want some advice....don't spend your own money on a Security Guard job and don't go into situations that are unsafe. You don't get paid enough to spend your own money on an iphone or be put in a situation that is dangerous. Honestly. I've been there. Agreed. Ask your employer to provide the equ...

Re: Badges issued to Police Service Dogs

That wasn't directed at you Brian. Just in general. When my brother was uniform patrol in the LMD he stopped someone for a traffic violation. When he got to the vehicle, the driver didn't even have the decency to roll the window down or talk to Matt. He just held up a badge to the window while keep...

Re: Freeman on the land lose in court

I've had quite a few dealings with freemen at work.....annoying for the simple fact that there is (at least in my experience) no reasoning with them. My experience as well. I don't even bother trying, nor do I entertain any of their bullshit claims. My partner ticketed a "Free man on the land&...

Security Screener pleads guilty to theft

m There is always the risk of being robbed when you’re traveling but generally you wouldn’t think it would happen at the airport and at the hands of airport staff. A Vancouver International Airport (YVR) security screener Yuriy Ruvinskiy, who is in his 30s, entered a guilty plea to eight counts of t...

Re: CATSA needs more training? NO WAY!

I had a guy try to get out of a fare evasion ticket by showing his Security Guard Licence and telling me he worked as a Security Screener at the airport. He was acting like a bit of an ass so he ended up with a $173 fine. I guess some are good and some are not, depends on the person I guess.

Re: Booting Vehicles on Private Property

I would question the legality of booting for not paying a private fine. Private fines are not able to be disputed in a court of law (like POTs) and thus are at the discretion of a private body. I disagree with that. I could put a sign on my lawn saying if you park a car on my driveway you owe me $1...
