Re: What do you drive/Dream car

Re: Whelen Switch Controls

I'm not an installer but .... I stayed at a holiday inn.... Hahahaha Just kidding. I'm not an installer but I am familiar with the switch your talking about. I would assume there is some wiring to be done or at least programing to the controller. When I get some time I will go into the control softw...

If you get a Doctorate in Mental Health then you wont need to carry one of those big scary guns the police carry.

Re: Best Dressed Cars Contest

Having gone through the whole process for the 2013 SUV I'm running and researching the heck out of it prior to ordering (there wasn't much out there at the time), I'd get the front corner strobes and that's it (tails come in white too, I switched out to red/blue after). I'd get the rest done by you...

Re: 2013 Ford Interceptor & Utility

Back to the vehicle, can anyone shed some light on the service notice that has gone out for Interceptors, Explorers, Escapes and more. "Customer Satisfaction Program number 14B05" what I would call a recall notice that requires an update to the Powertrain Control Module to be done. Will th...

Re: Raising Highway Speed Limits

My opinion in a nut shell. Most people can not handle their vehicle or know what to do in an emergency at 80km/h much less 120!!! The number of people speeding / collisions in areas that the speed limit has increased may not seem to have changed much yet but just wait until people "get used to ...

:o
What Lazer are you running? 1200m on a school bus or semi truck ya, but a car at 1000 with the LTI 20/20 its not an easy shot (I find). I can do it but it may take a few shots and may not happen every time.

Re: LIDAR/Laser jammers

Thanks. Having been LIDAR certified (like, 20 yrs ago when it first came out), I'm familiar with the use and that detectors are basically a "you just got a ticket" devices when it comes to LIDAR. Wasn't sure what your LIDAR experience was Mark Y. Wasn't implying anything if it came across...

Re: LIDAR/Laser jammers

Un-detectable, really? Most radar / lidar detectors wont pick up a "laser" anyway if used right. Detectors can only pick up the laser if the beam actually hits the detector and even at 500m if your aiming at the bumper (nice big, usually flat, reflective area) the beam wont be big enough t...

Re: 2013 Ford Interceptor & Utility

@ hacienda216 I have bad lower back issues and drive the 2013 Ford SUV. I find I get pretty uncomfortable after abut 45 min of driving and over that the back starts bugging me worse. That said it is better on the back than the crown vic, or impala was and I assume the Charger (Haven't driven one rea...

Re: Vancouver PD's new cars

I've played around with the Whelen CenCom and tried out a few things. Uploading the pattern etc takes no time at all. The time consuming part is all the playing around you can do in the software. Flash patterns, delay times, selecting each individual light segment etc etc. The possibilities are almo...
