Re: Hunting

Just started hunting this past week for the 1st time in my life. Got a nice white tail buck on Saturday, going out again Friday to see if I can get him a girlfriend to help fill up the freezer.

edit to add:

Got 'er. Nice size. Just about stepped on her before hand.

Re: Ford warranties

I miss the old cars / trucks that rarely ever broke down and IF they did you could fix it yourself in an afternoon. Vehicles have become so complicated. Bring back my '72 Impala (350) and my '86 Silverado (350). I could climb right in next to the engine and fix ANY thing with a couple wrenches and m...

Re: Summer Wear?

Anyone know of any good mesh (maybe part nylon or polyester?) or other undershirts that work well under uniform shirts? Starting to get hot lately. There is a new shirt out that resembles a 1980's mesh tank top. I haven't heard of anyone wearing it and giving a review, but it's interesting. See 221...

Re: Idle Management

Thanks Sierra I'll try that.
Punisher there are a few reasons, like remembering to turn it on, as I said about the radio hahaha and some others.
I try not to get stuck in the office but it does happen and often not when I plan for it. LOL

Re: Idle Management

Thanks Mark I was just going to email and ask you but figured it maybe something worth sharing. I'll check out that Eco Lock. I'd rather not loose power to the camera and radar at all throughout the day and lately with new tasks coming my way I sometimes go hours or all day in the office now if no i...

Idle Management

I'm running a new battery in my 2013 Interceptor SUV and have killed it a couple times now (need a new one again). Today was the last straw! Anyone using an IdleRight or similar system and have any pros and cons on them? Favorites or ones to avoid? Any research I found on the net is a couple years o...

Re: 2013 Ford Interceptor & Utility

I specifically ordered mine WITHOUT all those stupid sensors etc. I don't like the stuff in civilian cars as it is, people are leaving too much up to the car these days. I sure as hell don't want some sensor beeping at me / slamming on the brakes or what ever when I'm busy doing my job. I disabled t...

Re: Best Boots

I haven't heard much good from anyone re: the Magnums but for the price I find them great ($125 - $150 last about 2 years). I have a pair of the insulated ones for winter and a regular pair for the warmer months. If I keep up with the cleaning and polishing they stay water resistant and look good ( ...

Re: 5.11 Tac Lite2 Gloves- A Security Guard's Perspective

Used Hatch FM2000 for a while now. Just seen the Hatch Friskmaster Supermax with Dyneema. Says better cut resistance then the 2000. Anyone here have anything good or bad to say about them? About the same price so.....?? The local store doesn't have them so I can't go check them out.
Thanks.

Re: Canadian Coast Guard

If nothing else it would give you a fairly unique skill set that I'm sure most LEO's don't have should you choose to head down that road at a later date. Not saying there is a big need for that skill set (or maybe there is somewhere, there are marine units in various agencies) but you'd sure stand o...

Re: 2013 Ford Interceptor & Utility

.... I like the integrated flashing LEDs in the current model year Interceptors but the wig wag halogen high beams throw that light further down the road. .... Something I've been saying for a few years now. The LEDs are bright To Look At! but I don't feel they have the same "Throw" down ...
