Re: Police Officers, your personal life?

The best piece of advice I can offer with regard to policing is this: 1- Try and hold onto the memories of when you really wanted to help people (even before getting on the job). It will keep you from being jaded and thinking that everybody is just another asshole who's out to get you. 2- Hang onto...

Re: OPP Mustang

Windsor Police use this stealthy Silverado SS on the highways: http://policecanada.org/policeca/on/windsor/WindsorON065_MS.jpg I remember this when I lived in Windsor. At a quick glance, you didn't really notice anything. One day I was out for a walk and saw it park. It was then that you could noti...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Wow so I got the email today!!! Going to the staff college in Kingston than I get placed to Edmonton. It's for PW but to my knowledge they do mix CX-1's and PW for the CTP. I'm excited never been to Kingston and I never have been Edmonton. Besides home, Kingston if my most favourite city in Ontario...

Re: AUG 21, 2012 CTP in SASKATOON

LOL, So I'm pretty sure we get the weekends off in CTP, but are we going to have a lot of studying to do on the weekends? You should ask this question in the CSC thread. But the weekends are yours to deal with. You will be the only one who feels if you need to study on weekends. My core in Kingston...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

received an interview invite (for CX) today for later in the month in Kingston. BUT, I am out of province during that week for orientation with Alberta Corrections. Is CSC in anyway going to understand and reschedule? The only way to find out is to get back to the recruiter and explain the situatio...

Re: military parachute wings and RCMP uniform

I've noticed that too, but don't wear mine (wings). It's a qualification, and since it isn't one I earned with CSC, it shouldn't be on my uniform. That's my thinking, always has been. As for undress ribbons, well people where I am at wear them on their vests, and I was told quickly by many on my fi...

Re: military parachute wings and RCMP uniform

Actualy Jump wings are not authorized for wear on any CSC uniforms, undress ribbons are alowed on the work uniform shirt only, not on the body armour carrier. I have seen the wings worn on the dress uniform and no one has been told to remove them as far as I know. I've noticed that too, but don't we...
