Re: Downloading Music

The thing that kills me is that it so affordable now LMAFO is at the top of the billboard charts right now and you can pick the album up for a whopping 11.99 off of iTunes. (Disclaimer: This is just an example and in no way reflects my taste in music) Seriously though I spent more at dinner last ni...

Re: Rugby World Cup - 2011

Funny stuff. We're in tough against the rest of the pool, but a great start anyway.

Considering rugby is a fringe sport at best here, we do okay at it. We'll never be a world power, but we always give a tough physical match and we have produced one of the world's greatest players.

They are elusive because they are an elite squad of serious bad-ass motherf---ers. In fact they were the model for the cops in Training Day.

And by the way- you don't find out about them, they find out about YOU!

Re: Family Business/Police Officer?

I promised I'd help run the business for at least another 5 years but the itch to fullfill my goals of being an officer is to strong not to scracth, so the plan was to just help out on days off, not being paid. Is that something frowned upon or totally normal for PO's to have a side job on days off...

Re: Police Training with kids at home

As long as my kids are young I have no interest in any training course that's longer than a week or so.

Good thing too, as no one has ever offered me any course longer than a week or so.

Re: Michigan State Police - Special Truck Enforcment Team (STET)

Yep. One of the very first projects I was on after I got to Weyburn HP was to work with SH&I - TCB - HTP at the Estevan weigh scale station. Then there were all those stupid check points we ran outside of Regina the first few years my Unit was considered Region TS - say what you want about it, ...

Re: Michigan State Police - Special Truck Enforcment Team (STET)

Not all officers doing Commercial Vehicle Enforcement are CVSA certified. CVSA is just a policy , not legislation, and you sure don't need CVSA certification to enforce the major issues that contribute to most of the serious CVE collisions (Driver error and Fatigue), as well as infrastructure prote...

Not condoning the behaviour or the speed, 200K is up there, but, where is the media article & hype over the minivan driver running the red light or the person texting & diving & almost running over the MC rider or the idiot in the clapped out F150 tailgating ? It's the common as dirt ev...
