Boring? I find that hard to believe. The mint holds money, crooks must be trying to break in there all the time. No wonder those guys have full arrest powers.

Re: NB Commercial Enforcement Officers recieve Radar

They fear that they may have to pay you the same as police officers if you get sidearms, there will also be an increase in training costs too. All has to do with money, they don't care about you. I doubt that's the case considering MNR conservation officers have firearms and don't make as much as c...

Re: NB Commercial Enforcement Officers recieve Radar

But there are far more that don't agree with us playing outside the CMV mechanical inspection game. I still maintain that there would be a fierce fight if the Ministry implemented radar enforcement here... The fierce fight will always be from your own management, all of whom fear the very word enfo...

Re: The truth about the RCMP

As well, I feel more confident if I look the part; I just feel better wearing a suit to something as simple as a career presentation. Furthermore, I don't get a chance to suit up that often, so when I can, I do Hey if you feel better wearing a suit then do it by all means, my issue was with people ...

Re: The truth about the RCMP

When I went to a career presentation I wore khakis, a collared shirt, and simple dress shoes. Business casual I guess you could say. I thought I'd be under dressed... I was overdressed compared to everyone else. It may not matter much, but I'd rather look decent than look like I just don't give a c...

Re: The truth about the RCMP

When I went to a career presentation, I sat next to a guy wearing ripped jeans and a band t-shirt. My thoughts were, I didn't know who was going to be there, but I figured better to be remembered as the guy over dressed than underdressed. You won't be remembered either way at a career presentation....

"MountieMan" would be a very cool username though. I am seriously thinking I might switch to that.

Though I am also keen on "PoliceFace"....

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Do you retake classes like EVOC and firearms at the OPP academy? Sorry if this question comes across as being redundant I’m just trying to get a feel of how police training works in ON. From what I’ve gathered most of the departments in the province have post OPC training as well. Is post OPC train...

This is a very useful thread, and will prove invaluable to any and all potential applicants.

Could the mods sticky this gem, so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle and can serve future generations?

I made the mistake of Googling that. Wow. I just hope it was meant as a parody and doesn't actually exist.

I would do DeVry first. Or maybe the Derek Zoolander Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good.
