When I was at Depot I clearly remember our insturctors telling us on SEVERAL occasions that the motto stood for "MAINTAIN THE RIGHT". I clearly remember this cause every time they said it, I'd sit there thinking shouldn't it be "MAINTAIN THE LAW"? But of course as a lowly cadet ...

I am from NS originally and working in QC it would be a cold day in hell before you see me paying 30 000 to go to APA 3+ years of police science (cegep) with your living expenses and your +-$5000 for Nicolet (QC academy), tell me you are not up to 30 000 spent ??? Hmm.. I have one small question to ask in this thread seeing as I don't know much about the RCMP file system:

Is it after 1 year , or a set amount of time , will the file prescribe on the system and go away or is it always kept on file by the rcmp in an archive perhaps ?
