Re: uncaged cars

EPS has MAYBE....MAYBE 1 out of 10 cars that are caged....and thats a BIG maybe. Tact That's not entirely accurate. Yes, the bulk of them are not caged. I read the start of this thread yesterday, and thought I would see how many cage cars we have on my shift last night, since I work there and all. ...

I wanted to lean up, and make it stick, which is usually the biggest problem. I found that focusing on little things really adds up. As in I lost 18 lbs in 3.5 months. The following worked for me. 1) Cut out refined sugar. Look for it in all it's sneaky places. 2) Watch the carbs. They are not your ...

Indeed. It's a small scope (fits in your hand) you place it on the outside of a door peephole and it negates the peephole, allowing you to see inside. That way before yuo knock, you know if there is a guy with a shotgun waiting on the other side..... Anyways. Like I said, I've found some sites on th...

Reverse peephole viewer.

Anybody know where a guy can order a reverse peephole viewer in Canada? I haven't been able to find a place. I've been looking for a long time, but can only find some places in the States that sell them. The ones I've been in touch with won't ship to Canada. Has anyone bought one? If so, how do you ...

I try to read about policing with Canadian content.

You might want to give "The Seventh Shadow" a read. It's about a multiple homicide in BC and and RCMP member's investigation in tracking down the killer. Pretty good read.

Switching departments and changing 10 codes can be confusing. I was with a LE agency and spent 3 years with one set of 10 codes. I eventually got on the job as a PO, and had to learn a new set. Old habits can die hard.... One of my first days, a co-worker asked me over the radio if I was busy. I gav...

HA! Good one! I have not made an appearance on "Serve and Protect" yet. I auditioned, but they didn't find me believable as a police officer.....

Oh, well.

Edmonton

Thought I would shed a little light from and Edmonton PD perspective, since their doesn't seem to be much. Great place to work for. Been there five years now. I suppose that different departments are superior depending on what you are looking for. There was a post that said the RCMP is great cause i...

Nah, they weren't involved. the guys didn't get charged with proceeds. Around here, prosecutors have directed us to lay the charge of "Property obtained by crime" for money seized from low level dealers. I'm not really sure of the rationelle instead of charging them with proceeds. They say it's easi...

If you have RPG to suspect it was involved in a crime then you can seize it. Might be tough getting any charges through, depends on the prosecutor. Example: Caught 2 guys coming out of an apartment. One guy was carrying some crack and was arrested. The other guy was arrested for warrants and had $20...
