You will probably get as many opinions as there are members on the board. In a similar thread a while back, the vast majority of members recommended Rex Kwon Do.

Re: Hamilton resident blows $10.5 million lottery win

This sort of scenario plays out often in first nations communities in my part of the world. Many aboriginal communities receive oil revenue and other payments which is distributed to it's members. Members that are below the age of majority have it placed in a trust fund until they turn 18, at which ...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

I'm also keeping in mind that I need to look into potential careers, just in case; I have a few in mind. It has become apparent to me over the last little while that getting hired isn't as easy as just going through the steps (it seems a lot of peoplew assume that) and that I can't plan my life aro...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

Yep 22 hired. 12 from out of province. Target was 30. Not enough suitable applicants. I still can't believe that. Crazy. It's a great time to be an applicant (a competent one anyhow). When I was applying to agenices, it was after some of the hiring freezes of the '90s. Over 3,000 applicants for a c...

Oh, wait.... 39.7% since you only got a bronze medal in swimming.

I only got to blue level in swimming and was successful. How did that happen?

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

If you are a qualified candidate the odds are extremely good. I work next door to recruiting and talk to many of the recruiters regularly. The biggest challenge in the current recruiting climate is finding enough qualified candidates.

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

I understand why it would be beneficial to hire more Sheriffs for this purpose, but what I'm saying is that that's a provincial matter, so I'm confused as to why it's being raised at city council. Unless there is some power the city has to affect this that I'm unaware of. City would provide some mu...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

I am looking to get opinions from Edmonton residents on some good new construction neighborhoods to live in. When I was in Edmonton for my testing / interviews (out of province applicant), I arrived almost a week early to ensure time to explore and educate myself on the city. During this time, I le...

6'2, 270. My current lifts are Bench 315, Squat 405 and Deadlift was somewhere in the area of 475-485. I'm in about the same boat. 38 yrs, 6'2", 230 lbs, I float around 12% BF. Bench 315, and squat 405 as well. I don't deadlift very often so I'm not near that weight for a lift, more like 365. ...

To each their own I guess. I tried leangains pretty strictly for a few months. I didn't really care for it. Lots of headaches and feeling like crap. I can't get over the feeling that he's trying to sell something (to be fair, who in the fitness/nutrition industry is not trying to market something). ...
