Re: Charcoal BBQing
From what I've seen both the Green Egg and Komado Joe have lifetime warranties on the ceramics. Leaning towards the Komado Joe for the rack setup and the ability to set it up for both direct and indirect cooking at the same time. Indeed they do have lifetime warranties. Apparently, you have to be v...

Re: Charcoal BBQing
Looking forward to getting one next year when we buy a house. Torn between a Green Egg or a Komado Joe. I just ordered a komodo style yesterday! I landed on the Big Steel Keg by Broil King. Similar to other komodos, but it's got a steel exterior. Read some reviews where the ceramic ones cracked. Re...

x2 on the wood chips. In addition to the above, I like to use apple or cherrywood.
if it's a big hunk of meat like brisket or pork shoulder, I dig out the Jack Daniels wood barrel oak chips. Oh mama!

Re: Legalize pot, here we go again .....
As far as pot being decriminalized/legalized... It's just a matter of time. Once the govt figures out a sure fire way to control and tax it you can bet your ass it'll be legal. Therin lies the problem. How do you control and tax something that people can just grow in the dirt? It's akin to trying t...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
Is that by car or public transit? I apologize, I should've specified that I plan to use the transit system in order to save some money. Thanks for the response! Yeah. That's by car. I'm not sure how much public transit goes to the base, but, yeah, it could take a loong time. You mentioned you can s...

Re: All in One vs Desktop Computers
I had a PC and wanted to switch to Mac, but balked at the iMac price tag. There wasn't really a need to replace all my peripherals. I bought a Mac Mini, which is essentially the guts of an iMac without the screen, keyboard, etc. It was around $500. Bonus is that the thing it TINY and takes up almost...

Re: Appealing a Deferral
I have not heard of a deferral appeal being approved. Frankly, in my eyes it would probabaly cast the person in a more negative light as entitled and not willing to listen.
