Re: AR15 petition

I can't think of any Canadian news articles where a legal gun owner has shot someone. Criminals and gangs on the other hand... Every few days, in my city alone, there's headlines about shootings. But I haven't heard of a single new headline for gang shooting which involved AR's. A petition for stron...

And how exactly did you come to find out that you're allergic to it?

Aim for the right pair of shoes too. When I started running, I would get shin splints. I now run 5 to 10 km, and rarely get sore. Some shoes cushion and others give arch support. If you have weak arches and don't get the support, prepare for it to hurt after short runs. I had to try many different b...

Re: Keep the Peace - a law enforcement strategy game

Wow, I played through all four games in the Collection, pretty much back-to-back, when it first came out in 95. They were a major inspiration, but SWAT 2, a few years later, probably had the biggest impact on my desire to make a game like this. SWAT 2 was great, I like the turn based feel of the mo...

Re: Vision test - Ontario

I submitted the online application a couple of days ago and went to get my vision test at the optometrist. I already knew that I would need to get LASIK since my prescription is pretty bad uncorrected. I emailed the recruiting office and they said that in order to apply, I must first meet the visio...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hi Every one, new guy here. Just finished my electronic RPAT yesterday and scored 4.01 but there was also a score 317. Is that a good place to be? Thanks You already asked the same question in another RCMP thread. If you're above the passing score, then it's a good enough score to continue in the p...

3.1 out of 5. Ouchhhhhh lol.

The owner kept on responding back with the same message lol
Their Google review responses went from threatening to sue for defamation, to now giving impression that all the bad reviews are fake.

Re: Ankle pain while running

Start by researching "shin splints" and "foot strike". Figure out if the issue you're facing is either of these. Foot strike is how your foot lands - how the ankle rolls side to side, and front to back. If you're currently getting ankle pain, it may be because your ankle is rolling in/outwards, or b...

Re: Apps/plans for anaerobic and overall fitness.

Runtastic has a good fitness app, it can be programmed for intervals too. Many free vids on Youtube for yoga, stretching, body weight strength exercises, HIIT, etc. Beginner to advanced. Simple workout for wind sprints, get a few $1 mini orange cones from dolllar store. Warmup: walk a few laps, then...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello, Last week, my medical process has been initiated with my local Health Services Office. Questions: 1. Where is the nearest centre for people who live in Kitchener, ON area? 2. How long does it take them to contact me after medical is initiated? Thanks in advance for answering my questions! It...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hey Guys! While on vacation in South America, I hit my head pretty hard (faulty seat belt, which led to my body lifting off of the seat and head making contact with the roll cage). Once returning to Canada, my Doctor diagnosed me with a concussion. She briefly put me off work. After a week of ignor...

Re: Weighted Vest - online

TMF used to sell a neoprene one, with double velcro straps, that had about 45 individual 1 lbs, sand weights. The old style flops around a bit on stair climbs, but is mostly secure. The new style V cut one there is similar to what ATS is using now. I found it bulky under the crawl section as it stic...

Re: Keep the Peace - a law enforcement strategy game

Police Quest was amazing. Sierra definitely had a great lineup with Kings Quest and Space Quest. This new game looks interesting. I like what I see so far. Game modes that may be fun to add: -"CSI Miami" mode where the detective constantly crouches, says a witty one liner, then pulls out sunglasses....
