Re: EPS service pistol

Well, the Glock 22 is a great pistol any way you look at it, though I might go with an extended mag release if I can. I don't think I'd regret that purchase! I was also going to get a training session from a local former RCMP officer who offered. Didn't think it could be that much different from th...

Re: EPS service pistol

Can anyone tell me what the Edmonton Police uses as it's service pistol? I've recently put in my application, and although I have my RPAL, I still haven't purchased a handgun. So I figured I might as well try the EPS one! I'm optimistic about getting hired, so I may just buy one. It would allow me ...

Re: plantar fasciitis

I developed it recently as well. Got orthotics and they helped somewhat. I think that Dr. Scholl's helped me more and didn't have the price tag. The thing that helped the most was wearing the splint /sock at night. Really helps with the morning pain. It keeps your foot streched out all night. Most ...

Re: Thank you to traffic enforcement!

Well I heard the truth is trooper went up there, with no camera running....got that guy all jacked up returned to car..turned on video and now pretended he was super cop. Heard he lost his job over this. I just remember watching this video during a training class and that's what the instructor said...

Re: The Citizen's Arrest and Self-defence Act

This could be a significant tool if used correctly by those who understand how to practically apply the new legislation. By stating that "not much has changed" isn't entirely accurate. A lot has changed and this will be an extra tool for citizens, if used properly and reasonably. You stil...

Re: Saskatoon Firefighters get a free walk

There also is a Saskatoon bylaw about fighting in public. We have that here too. Great ticket to write when situation doesn't warrant charges. It sucks when people walk on things but if the version from the cops has inconsistencies and the firefighters more credible why shouldn't they walk. It's no...

Re: Police Officers, your personal life?

I am only in my forth year but I love my career and am happy for the most part with my personal life. There are friends that I don't see as often due to work schedule. This same schedule also can cause issues for family events etc, but with my service my 4 days off every set allows for lots of famil...

Section 214 of CC has definition of vessel

Might want to check 477 as well, definition of ship, which also references vessel
