Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
Jwlong, It’s not unusual for it to take months. Everybody has a unique set of circumstances. Don’t be discouraged if you hear about a background that took weeks as there are people out there where it takes several months too. There are many factors at play including Covid that can slow things down. ...

I wouldn’t worry about those scores much. How you do in the application process is what really counts.

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
I would expect delays in all processes right now due to the covid-19 outbreak. All focus will be on maintaining continuity of operations, part of that obviously includes avoiding all unnecessary social contacts to ensure membership stays healthy.

Have my BDI Interview next week and can't think of any examples for BDI? Anyone have advice or will I have to end up winging it? I do not recommend winging it. I believe there is some advice on joineps.ca about it. Everybody has examples it’s just thinking about times you had a situation and how yo...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
Anyone in stage 8 have an idea of how long EPS would give an out of town applicant (if successful) time to prepare and be in Edmonton. ie. when would they call "us" to inform us we have been invited to RTC- if RTC class is scheduled for Aug 2018. Thanks They try to give as much time as po...

Re: Soreness after run
Hi, I am just curious if anyone experienced soreness in their leg above the ankle on the sides. It is really and sore and aches a lot but it does go away by taking an Advil so I don't think its that serious. Is it possible that the muscles above ankle are being overworked? I am older so that might ...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
This board is too quiet! I had a few questions Fitness is one of the biggest things that we need to prepare for class, is there anything else we should be actively doing specifically to prepare ourselves? Would setting up a ride along be beneficial even if I am in the later stages of the process? e...

Re: EPS service pistol
Well, the Glock 22 is a great pistol any way you look at it, though I might go with an extended mag release if I can. I don't think I'd regret that purchase! I was also going to get a training session from a local former RCMP officer who offered. Didn't think it could be that much different from th...

Re: EPS service pistol
Can anyone tell me what the Edmonton Police uses as it's service pistol? I've recently put in my application, and although I have my RPAL, I still haven't purchased a handgun. So I figured I might as well try the EPS one! I'm optimistic about getting hired, so I may just buy one. It would allow me ...
