In Ontario, part of your premium goes to fund an uninsured driver's relief fund. So, in theory, your dad's damage should be paid out of that money. If he does get hit with the deductible, could you take the other driver to small claims court to get that money back? BTW, drive w/out insurance in Onta...

Welcome, Bridget. You seem like a qualified applicant, and have many of the important characteristics that police services look for. There are very few services that will pass you up just because of a small gap in employment. At worst, they'll make a note of it to ask you in your LFI interview...whi...

Elisabeth got hitched, and is now a mom. As for Stephenie, I do believe she got the short end of the stick. The women should have formed an alliance at some point to get rid of Tom and the men. Whether this alliance was necessary with 7 or 5 left is a point to be argued, but there is no way that Tom...

Really? I think shuttle run is pretty much a joke...stage 6.5? Stages 1-4.5 can be done at a slow jog, so really it is all about running for 90 seconds. The PARE at least requires pacing, co-ordination, as well as a moderate degree of stamina. For the written exams, I found the RPAT more challenging...

I don't know about applying specifically to police services, but a standard cover letter has 4 important paragraphs. 1) Name/Contact info + what position you are applying for, where you heard it advertised etc. 2) How your specific skills would be able to assist the prospective employer 3) Give exam...

I thought the vote would be 7-0. I haven't seen someone dominate as much as Tom did for a long time. He really did deserve the title, and I hope that he still keeps his firefighter job...because from FDNY's point of view, I'd hate to lose someone like him from my team. P.S. Next season is going to b...

Nice first post.

Most officers will decide to give a warning based on the driver's attitude and circumstances surrounding the stop.

Have you passed the BPAD? I assume from your last sentence that you actually have an OACP certificate, and are ready to apply. There is no "magical" service who will look at your resume and say "this is the person we want to hire RIGHT NOW." You will have to do your homework, and research each servi...

Take a trip to Toronto, and visit the Bochner Eye Institute. It costs a bit more, but well worth it. I have nothing but praise for the staff and doctors there.

I would seriously consider leaving Canada if the NDP won a majority. Fortunately, all they can hope to accomplish is to be a spoiler party. Getting back to the issue at hand, until the Conservative party has made major progress in Quebec, they will never have a chance at governing the country in a m...
