Re: Your opinion - By-law/MLEO Uniforms, PPE and Vehicles

I cannot comment on how things are in ontario, from what I can see, its FUBAR. Alberta has issues, but lets take a city like Airdrie or Red Deer or Lacombe. All 3 places have Alberta Peace Officers that do by law, traffic, most can do open liqour tickets if Im not mistaken. They all have one uniform...

Re: Where fore art thou My Motivation???

The problem with most people is that they focus 80% of their energy into the gym and working out for weight loss and 20% into nutrution. It needs to be the other way around. the easiest 10-12 hours a week will be the gym, the other hours its all nutrition. Stop eating crap, if it comes from a bag or...

Re: CSC candidate-What can I work on?

I have applied to CSC (prairie region) and am waiting to complete and pass the interview. I am looking into areas I can improve on while waiting in the, overall, process. To the best of my knowledge, firearms training is one. I have a valid RPAL and access to safe and legal-designated shooting area...

Re: Minimum requirments question *Any recruiters here*

People need a heavy dose of reality when they come on here and realistically expect to be coddled and hand held and given everything on a silver platter. Is this a great resource? Absolutely. But I got hired before I knew this site existed. It can happen. When people come on here and ask stupid que...

Re: Best exercises / conditioning for a LEO?

You need good all around fitness, I usually do 4-5 days of lifting per week and 6 days cardio. You should be able to maintain a high rate of cardio and then be able to fight if need be. For me I switch up my cardio, I usually do 2 days a week very high intensity, usually sprint a mile or do a mile a...

Re: Beards?

Federal Corrections, no beard or goatee allowed, porn stache is fine. That being said if you go to Ontario Region everyone is walking around with a goatee, in Prairie region you show up for work like that and you will be given a choice, go shave or go home and lose pay until you come to work as per ...

Re: RCMP Uniform

Im not a horseman, but I think its time to make some uni changes. dark blue shirts for everyone. Yellow stripe for Highway members but get rid of it for GD members. I know history and tradition plays a very important role with the force, but sometimes you gotta put that aside for Officer safety, the...

Re: Any advice?

First thing I would ask you is what is your nutrition like? Fitness, strength, cardio, fat loss, muscle gains..all require proper nutrition. Its 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. So stop wasting time in the gym if you are eating like crap. get rid of processed food specifically Sodium and sugar. Cut y...
