Re: Surrey BC PD

Exactly why I posted the article, to get the thoughts of the community. For one, how do you hire/train/lateral over 850 members in ... 1 year. (JI can handle so manny classes, what about RFT) Two, even if the plan is to only start with whatever they can get and have two services run parallel, the co...

I find the timing and steps mentioned in the below article interesting. Seems like a tone of opportunity if this gets a provincial...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

The PARE cough is real, people! I did my 2nd practice tonight, gave it some hustle. The cough has been with me since..: I’m told a Werthers candy right after helps soothe it. Note to self: buy Werthers candies. Interesting, eh? Some get it some don’t. I smoked for 25 years, a pack a day when I run ...

Re: Canadian Pacific Railway Police 2018

http://i64.tinypic.com/287irdz.jpg It’s current. You don’t max out at $52 after 3 or 4 years, not even 5 unless you get into a sergant’s spot. This ofcourse might change with the next agreement.. looking at the table.. not till 2025 maybe. You will get bumped up the pay grades based on your experien...

Re: brit cop looking to move

I bet lots of UK cops would be interested considering their latest ordeals.. I know 2 personally.
Maybe RCMP, considering shortages, should look at them as once EPD did for experienced and quality members that could come in?

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

John014 is absolutely right. He knows what the job is and who rcmp gets as rookies. Those who question his post should give themselves a head shake. If you can do PARE under 4 at grad.. good for you but some of you need to realize that a lot cadets fail because of the crappy changes that took place ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

If an applicant/cadet can’t run the PARE below the mark of 4min, never mind 4:45, at the very first time, there is something teribly wrong.
Why was the 5:30 even implemented? Municipal services (at least in BC) will have you run the POPAT in less than 4:15 or you are out.

Some people are bad at time management and/or are so busy to point they can’t keep up and will end up hearing from management or PSU to get it...

Re: [Ontario] Private property & Road Signs Enforceable?

From my experience parking lots are mostly targeted for distracted driving, those are good violations.
