Ask the CBSA!

I'm more worried about this... than well physical stature because I've seen small women working as CBSA officers as well. In all the times I have traveled between Canada and the United States of America the stature of the customs and immigration officer on either side of the border has never affect...

Overqualification of applicants?

The question I would like to pose is to whether or not an applicant can be overqualified? I am entirely committed to the whole process of law enforcement and want to make sure that I am not going to over qualify myself for the positions in which I am pursuing. My educational background is a Bachelo...

Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Was just wondering about the recruitment process with CSC. 6 weeks online, another 2 weeks online and another 8 or 9 weeks actually at the staff training college in Kingston. Long time without pay. And on top of that, 2 weeks on-site training, AGAIN, without pay. What is the deal with that. I know ...

I have an interview with Halton next week as a special constable and will be having a behavioural based interview. Any suggestions or resources that may help.

These resources should give you a better understanding of the behavioural based interview.

Ask a CBSA Recruiter

Does the CBSA have a preference whether an applicant has a college diploma, say in Law and Security Administration with a specialization in Customs and Immigration, or a degree, say in Criminology?

This is not looking good. Already more than a year since I submitted my application. I should have done this 6 years ago when I was still in high school You might want to check whether your application is still active given that more than 1 year has elapsed. In any event, submit an updated applicat...

If you can go back in time to college/university...

My finacee is a teacher. They dont really work 6 hour days, Mon-Fri. The amount of work there is involved preparing after school hours and on weekends is unbelievable. "Unpaid overtime". I'd say those 2 weeks off during Christmas and In March is well deserved! Cant justify the 2 months of...

If you can go back in time to college/university...

Uh, have you guys been in a school lately? They're even more of a joke now. I don't envy any teacher, they don't get paid enough to deal with little shit rats and their asshole parents. It all went downhill when we started thinking kids had "rights" and teachers started to "respect&q...

I have not cleared anything up yet. Unfortunately I was informed today by my employer that the client does not want to be reveled. Which makes sence seeing as how he pays to remain annonymous. Not sure what to do. Had an interview with department of youth protection today, to be an intervention off...

Private Memeber's Bill Introduced To End Long Gun Registry

What, don't any of you think of the children. If we don't force those gun shops to write in those ledgers children will die, it's a proven [I saw it in a Michael Moore film] fact. You are amusing. Now put down the beer bottle and step away from the fire pit. But back to reality. One tactic that you...

On the other hand, some organizations such as Ottawa Transit and Canadian Forces for the military police trade demand the police foundations diploma as the minimum educational qualification.
