Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

How much do you clear out from $525 ? If you don't mind me asking. The pay is biweekly, so instead of receiving $1050, you will get $882. That's really good pay to support your family while there, of course if you're being smart with your spendings. That's awesome thanks Pho-fo 👍 For real? What typ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

PARE time should be under 3 mins by end of Depot. Should be close to 3 mins before you get there. That 5 min 30 second garbage is horse shit.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

From conversations I've had with recruiting, CAF mbrs on LWOP potentially qualify for a higher rate of pay on enrollment. Has anyone taken this avenue and if so, did you put your release in while on LWOP? I don't know about CAF, but I assume it is the same. CBSA, CSC etc get their old rate of pay r...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

I'm very happy with how things have been moving along in the new year. I have a suitability interview coming up and Regina has done a great job keeping me updated by email. It's still a somewhat opaque process but the communication is much better than the CAF. I suppose I'll dig up my service recor...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Every applicant is looked on in a case-by-case basis. It's not marijuana use that gets people deferred, it is how much; how long ago, and whether the person takes responsibility for their actions . In this case, the person denies that it was illegal because "everyone else was doing it," and maintai...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hey folks, just wondering if anyone has any insight into postings in the Lower Mainland right now with Surrey transitioning (foolishly) to a municipal force. On my current timeline I would be graduating around this time next year and would love to end up in the Lower Mainland, but I am concerned th...

Re: Medical requirements

It took me exactly 1.78 seconds on google to find the answer to your question.
Your kid has a few years, I am sure he will find the answer by them time he is old enough to apply.

Re: A international student asking about employment

Also.. Volunteer. Recruiters love it! Actually do not do this without checking with CBSA. You cannot come to Canada as a Foreign National and work/volunteer without prior approval. I worked for CBSA prior to this "20 hours a week" came into affect, however I know back then volunteering would be con...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

From the RCMP website: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/physical-standards Looks like the first PARE timer has been set to 5m 30s now. Unbelievable. 4:45 was already more than generous. No kidding... I just got that email update as well. Based on Cadet's post's to the forum, Cadet's are failing left, r...

From the RCMP website: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/physical-standards Looks like the first PARE timer has been set to 5m 30s now. There must be alot of cadets who dont pass once at depot. 45 seconds extra is alot! This is sad. If you are not running it around the 3 min mark (3:30 MAX) please re-ev...

Re: Fire to police

[ Where do you work? That is BS. Admin can be done on shift. Reports can be done on shift. You are screwing the membership by showing up on VOT to do paperwork as you show we don't actually need more members because the X amount we have can do it all in their shift. Essentially you're making a bad ...

Re: CBSA to RCMP

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah to be honest the only thing holding me back is the relocating having 0 idea of where I'd end up. I'd rather be a RCMP officer, and I have no kids or anything but I guess it's not easy to leave somewhere you're comfortable even if you're not totally satisfied. Obvio...
