Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Yup, every time there is bad case we naturally assume that it out of RCMP E Div....and I'm not kidding but that only comes because it is a place where members with anything over 2 years seem to go to specialized sections and supervisors should still be being supervised themselves. I was horrified h...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

The CDSA might consider them one and the same, but in the real world where I do my policing, we're not arresting people for growing "a" plant, or handing off "a" joint to a friend. That kind of stuff doesn't even get a mention in my notebook. 1) You clearly haven't been on the j...

Re: CSI Effect harries Crime Scene Investigators

I had someone ask me to fingerprint a rock one time. A wet rock, at that. I tried to explain... then ended up putting on the latex gloves and throwing it into an evidence bag. Whatever. (Come to think of it, I think that rock is still in my desk drawer LOL.)

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

There's a big difference between growing "a" marijuana plant and production of a controlled substance. A big difference between "slipping a joint to a college roommate" and trafficking. If you're not cognizant of the difference, you might want to re-think your career choice. Som...

Re: The end of Movember

We had one guy whose 'stache was so ridiculously huge... he and a partner went to a domestic and the female member who was with him kept looking at him and laughing... she had to apologize to the victim a couple of times... he shaved it off that night I think.

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

looks like maybe a read it wrong but having them say "May not necessarily disqualify" really shocked me. thats all This is what the article was actually referring to: "That means admitting to growing a marijuana plant or perhaps slipping a joint to a college roommate no longer means ...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I'm in the process of filling out the various RCMP selection package forms -- I'm wondering if it's acceptable to substitute the RCMP Vision Examination form with a vision examination form from another police agency that I applied do, that's already been filled out. Call and ask someone in recruiti...

Re: GENERAL RCMP APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

However, ten years ago aged 19 I served in the British Army for 10 months and got medically discharged on depression grounds(due to personal problems at home) I have had a clean bill of health since then. My question is would my glitch in the past effect my application? Cheers Part of the applicati...

Re: Do the Mounties need an Association?

Yes. The current form of representation has been deemed unconstitutional, basically because there is insufficient distance between the current representative body (the SRR), and RCMP management. Whatever form the future representation takes - whether a revamped SRR program, or some other association...

Re: New ads urge drivers to yield to emergency vehicles

They've just put up a nice new (reflective) sign in my detachment area advising drivers what to do when passing a stopped emergency vehicle. Sign went up about two weeks ago. I figure that's long enough... next day shift we're gonna set up a sting about 1/2 a km up the road and write a bunch of tick...

Hey Everyone! A little update from Depot, things are good! Feeling positve. Anyone on the way here, dress warm. It's snowing!! You probably won't see the parade square again now until March LOL. Enjoy that frosty Regina weather, and those nice cold mornings standing outside waiting to go on parade....

Re: BC considers to water down new Drinking & Driving tough Laws

As for the ASD demand, what do you mean by saying there would be less ASD demands if there was 0 tolerance? You don't need a person to admit they had a drink or two before you are able to demand ASD sample. Your mere suspicion and believe that someone might had something to drink is enough to deman...
