Re: Robbed, BY THE POLICE!!!

Russia's as bad. Cops there are more likely to roll you than the mob. I found Ukraine and Kazakhstan were far worse than Russia for me but I wasn't in Moscow or St Petersburg. I'm very supportive of law enforcement but I was having a very tough time not swearing under my breath every time I saw the...

however things are looking closer to CPS only planning on two classes of recruits this year. Perhaps RJB or fenceline would be able to provide more info.

I'm curious if this is due to budget restraints or a lack of good applicants.

Re: Anyone from Alberta been to this Calgary shop?

I've been there a few times to buy ESS lens and the prices don't seem too bad. 911 Supply is just up the street and the 2 stores seem pretty comparable price wise.

Re: Calgary Police Service

The University of Calgary does PARE training. I did it about 18months ago, it was $200 for four one hour sessions (one on one with a trainer). I would recommend the program. :D

Re: Rejected

Had the same thing happen to me with CPS in April, did all the tests and interviews and was deferred just before selection,so close but not close enough I felt terrible for a few weeks, sat around, ate cookies and pouted. Then I picked myself up and made a list of things that I though would benefit ...

Re: Slow Down & The "R" Word

I'm a sub-contractor in new home construction and have been for 8yrs. I've been run off my feet for the whole time. As of January several of the companies I got work from are cutting their sub-trades and the rest are saying they have basically no work. Pretty scary. Not sure what the future holds

I'm not going to jump on the SD bashing band wagon...I have only one comment. SD you are one of the most persistent people I have EVER come across. The more you post, the more they hammer you and you just keep on posting. It's amazing 88)

Re: Police Shouldn't Be Scared of Non-American Cruisers

European police cruisers have been mentioned a couple times, they are not relevant to the debate. I've spent sometime in the UK and I can tell you that a CV would be useless in many areas. The roads are a lot narrower than they are here. If the roads were wider perhaps those services would be using ...

Re: Lesnar v. Couture for the Heavyweight Title

I like Randy but when he beat Syliva, Sylvia had back issues. When he beat Gonzoga, Gonzoga broke his own nose with a knee, gassed and lost. Randy should have called it quits right there. He defied the odds, came back and won twice. He should have made sure the contract with UFC was never worked out...

Re: The "Legend" of Kimbo dies.

I'm by no means a Kimbo fan but I give him props for trying to make an honest living with his "skills" rather than continuing to be a thug (even if he's only there because there's more money in the ring than there is in an alley).

Re: The "Legend" of Kimbo dies.

A week or so before Elite went under, the Florida State Athletic Commission announced it was starting an investigation of Elite after Petrizzelli claimed that Elite representatives came into his dressing room before the fight and asked/strongly suggested that he keep the fight standing as Kimbo had ...
