Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I just recently completed both my non restricted and restricted firearms courses and just received the paperwork in the mail. I'm pretty sure I don't need to send it in for the PAL? Do I just hold on to it? I've already done my interview so just not sure if there is something I need to submit or se...

Re: CBSA air-mode Officers armed but not carrying

The reason we are constantly fed is that it's a transport Canada regulation and until the legislation changes we aren't able to carry firearms inside the terminals. So in theory, this transport Canada legislation would apply to US officers as well. It's going to have to been a simultaneous roll out...

Re: CBSA air-mode Officers armed but not carrying

That would be a complete embarrassment so I can't see it happening unless we all go full carry at the same time. Had to dig a little for this quote from a CBC report from Feb 12, 2017; Bardsley of Public Safety Canada says the change would probably not extend to airports "given that CBSA offic...

Re: CBSA Boots?

Was reading the Uniform Program wiki page yesterday and saw an interesting post. A uniform clerk out of BC posted that she got notified that side zips are now permitted! I must now find the appropriate section to attach to my new boot form so I get compensated. Finally work will pay for a pair of 5...

Re: Psych interview

If I did fail the psych interview, what happens? Am I side lined for a year so I'll have to redo the ECI as well? Sidelined for 6 months before I retake the psych interview? If you do fail talk to your recruiter as different agencies could have different guidelines. This is a guess but generally th...

Re: CBSA - Basic Requirements Question

Just in case someone else wondering the same thing stumbles across the post and is not misinformed by your lack of valid information Hey little buster to correct your presumed correct information you can no longer challenge the CFSC and the CRFSC. As I said in my previous post this thread is old an...

Re: CBSA - Basic Requirements Question

You guys are all so rude, and apperantly uninformed and therefore should not speak. There are three Basic requirements the must be met prior to application. Must have successfully completed a secondary school education. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have successful comple...

Re: Border Security Canada: Episodes Now Online

Torrents. I honestly can't watch some of that scripted shit without wanting to vomit! Of course, the gold medal goes to PIA. I have been on the show a few times. I have never seen a script. What's with blurring out the name tags and using your first name. Is that by request or is the production com...

I certainly hope they throw the book at him.... Life isn't long enough when the security of our country and the possibility of placing lives (military, diplomatic and civilians) in harms way.

Re: Discussion on a Failed Application

The point is that you answered the questions posed to you by the polygraph tester and questionaire and an anomally appeared. Even though you felt you were honest and forthright due to your employer's sick leave policy it shows a deception on the test. That being said it's a tick against you but not ...
