Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

I'm torn between 2 and 3. I like the knee pads on pair 2, but they do seem to be a tad bell-bottomish. Also, the belt loops are too big and I had a hard time fitting my keepers in all the right spots. Pair 3 to make the "swishing" sound while walking, but it dissipates as they get washed a...

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

Anyone else get the third pair? I'm liking the fit. Less bell bottomish than the last pair. But the noise they make while walking is a tad concerning.

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

I like these much better. Knee pads were awkward at first but did provide support when I had to kneel. My only worry is they'll add extra heat in the summer. Overall, pretty good.

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

Got my test pair. They are nowhere even remotely close to fitting. So tight in the thigh and crotch it is impossible for me to even walk in them, let alone conduct my duties and test them. Very disappointing that despite being provided with exact measurements the agency still couldn't get a properl...

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

Let me clarify. That portion is on the inside, yes. However, there is an elastic portion on the outside, above the ass!

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

So now our pants are coming a month later and yet the e-mail I got tells me that I should be proud that these HQ idiots can't meet a deadline! WTF?!?!?

Re: CBSA uniform components test phase

An e-mail went out asking for volunteers and I signed up. I really have no issue with the shirts. The pants, however, do need some work. That and having two different shades of blue on were really frustrating me.

Re: CBSA Vests

Why anyone would spend their own money on that agency is beyond me. I really don't see what the fascination is what 5.11 stuff, anyway. Because I have to wear the things 50hrs a week and the 5.11s fit better, are more functional, and look more professional. Despite how much I may gripe against mana...

Re: CBSA Vests

I love contributing to the uniform chat on CBSA wiki. Officers - "We literally all buy our own 5.11 pants. Please get a contract with them so we can have them." Managers - "Why don't you tell us what you like about them so we can steal the specifications and farm them out to China. T...
