Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hi all, New poster here but long time lurker. I think I've read all of the CBSA threads. I just completed my interview and passed (I had about a year and a half wait between test and interview). Now I am onto my Psyc. From what I've read so far there seems to be an average of a 5 month wait between...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Most recent email says my recruiting coordinator is back in the office. Still in security but here's to hoping things start moving again. I spoke to mine via telephone recently about making the trip to Regina, and he was saying that they're working reduced days (MWF or T/TH) at his office. Same vol...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hey guys, do you know how I can determine which selection process I am in? Last email I had was for the psych exam invitation: 15-BSF-EA-NBSO-FB-5555/16-BSF-EA-NBSO-FB-006/18-BSF-EA-NBSO-FB-007 Check your interview invitation email, it shall states your selection Process Number. Where did you have ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

What do applicants usually wear for medical and psychological exams? The email I got didn't specify a dress code. Use good judgement, definitely doesn't hurt to wear business/business casual. My medical I wore a polo and dress pants because I knew I was going to be taking my shirt and pants off and...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

No. You don't even need to pass the PARE test when you get to Rigaud. I feel like this is inaccurate information.. You need to have a valid, passing PARE time prior to going to Rigaud. As far as whether a PARE Testing facility sends a failed result, that's probably case by case. But I'm fairly cert...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I am scheduled to do my first PARE attempt on Saturday. Driving all the way from Toronto to Ottawa as police fit Ottawa is the only place I can find doing them right now. If you fail the PARE, do they contact the cbsa that you failed? And if so, are you screened out of the process altogether? I kno...

Re: Winnipeg Police Recruit Class #164

same here, I was told i would be eligible to reapply in 1 year time. Don't think I will be reapplying though, just find it ridiculous that you can go through all the preparation to do your Physical and pass and did not even get the chance to interview. Good luck to everyone still in the process. Do...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Business Casual is what I would recommend. But with that said; every appearance I ever made for the RCMP I always suited up. You can always dress down if required, and nobody is going to jam you up for wearing a suit to a police recruiting function. "Better to have it and not need it, then need it ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

If I have poor vision that will certainly be below the required vision standards, is it OK to apply anyway first and get laser eye surgery if I pass the initial recruiting stages or should I not apply at all until I've gotten laser done? from their website: Prior to applying, you must meet the mini...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Imagine being in the application process for 1-2 years just to get homesick after a month, ugh. :banghead: We lost 5 from our troop: One left in the first few weeks because he was homesick. Three left in the middle months due to not meeting benchmarks or realizing that the job isn't what they expec...

Re: Winnipeg Police Recruit Class #164

Can someone advise where should I do my vision and hearing tests, please? This is new concept for me, as other countries do them internally during the selection process. Thank you Go to any eye doctor or hearing centre. Print the forms that were provided/online and pay the fee that the clinic requi...
