Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

So I normally don't post too much, especially in regards to complaining about the whole process as I'm not aware of the challenges that go on behind the scenes and I try to just patiently accept things as they come. But I thought I'd share this little gem. A couple of weeks ago I, like several of yo...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Clearly this is pure speculation, but usually they send all the invites on the same day so I'm not really holding my breath for a email. On the zoom meeting for the Security and Intervention Group, the CBSA recruiter said they are going to have reduced class sizes. I would not be surprised if all 1...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Well I am a little sad to hear that the invites for training have gone out already. But it seems like waiting is the name of the game. Thank you to the people who said "Keep living your life", that advice was seriously critical. I have a new job and it's pretty good, I am still growing professional...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hey guys, do you know how I can determine which selection process I am in? Last email I had was for the psych exam invitation: 15-BSF-EA-NBSO-FB-5555/16-BSF-EA-NBSO-FB-006/18-BSF-EA-NBSO-FB-007 Check your interview invitation email, it shall states your selection Process Number. Where did you have ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

They confirmed that I was "ready" for OITP 16A. While it sounds hopeful and is far better than the previous canned responses, the phrasing actually doesn't say you "will" receive the invite for 16A. Just that I'm ready. So, I remain hopeful but a little skeptical based on my last 3 years in the pro...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Wow thats a good news. It says "They Confirmed" that you are ready for next intake. So I guess you are going in next intake as soon as they open and ready and this is not a Generic email for those who already completed their all stages before OIPT correct? I sure hope so! 🀞 I received this exact em...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

So after sending in my consent to share information for the Psych that I would potentially have to redo as it was set to expire in November, I sent an email to politely express my disappointment that we would be required to redo steps in light of the Covid delay and that it didn't seem as if any ext...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Just did my CAT III assessment on the 19th this month but still haven't gotten any news. I was suppose to do it at a Health Canada office in Toronto but because they're closed for the month, I had to do it at a clinic in Hamilton (as per instructions from CBSA). Should I wait a little bit more or s...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Just did my PARE, 4:52” :( it’s not easy! ! I failed the first time I did it. Gassed out on the run and struggled with the push/pull. I ended up taking over 5 minutes. Went to the gym and worked on cardio and a little upper body/ core strength and went pack 2 months later and finished in 4:0...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

A question to all of your who participate/reply to this thread, in your opinions, how old is too old to apply for this job? I know age has no bearing whatsoever during the selection and PoE placement process, but I'm still curious to know what you guys think. I'm 47. A little late to the table but ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Hey everyone. Does anyone know how many intakes there are between now and July? I sent an email to recruiting and they informed me that January and February were full and they would make it a priority to send me the invite before my CATIII expires in July 2020. My understanding was that there is one...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Does anyone know what the first aid and cpr requirements are for Rigaud? I have emergency first aid and cpr which is a one day course, not the two day course that some employers might require. Wondering if I should register to upgrade.
