Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Has anybody gotten invites for the April class as of yet? Also what is the workload like for people who are doing the online training? Is it like pre-covid where you could manage on evenings and weekends or has it turned into a 40 hour plus training week. Personally, the online training has been a ...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

Hi, I believe I got a summer job to become a SBSO they're just waiting for my medical. I have a few questions. 1. I read someones post back in 2008 saying that if you're in SBSO you can apply for the restricted and non restricted firearm course and its free. Since it was back in 2008 is that still ...

Re: CBSA SBSO 2020-2021 APPLICANTS

I agree, but I highly doubt they will do that with SBSO's, I know with regular BSO's as a newbie you can be put in a different province most likely but it doesnt make sense for them to do the same with SBSO when the work is only for the summer + the pay isnt sufficient enough for the student positi...

Re: CBSA SBSO 2020-2021 APPLICANTS

I'm from Alberta but I was selected for Richmond BC and not Calgary or Edmonton. My timeline is almost identical to yours, except I have not been informed of a pass/fail for the interview yet. Were your interview results sent in a formal CBSA template email like the OTEE results were? They assign e...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Just did my phone interview today, more than 2 years after my OTEE lol. Looking forward to the next steps in 2023, and eventually Rigaud around the time of the heat death of the universe I admire your sense of humor about this :) Not funny though ... Hopefully next steps are accelerated for you !

They replied and said it wasn't meant for me to resend it as my PARE was done after Sept 2018.

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

After sending the Health Canada Self declaration forms, I got an email today that I am required to redo my PARE and agency is now accepting PARE, PREP, COPAT, POPAT AND FITCO. I received an email in November 2020 stating that my PARE result has been extended until further notice. So, I am assuming ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Does anyone know if there is a memory component to the OTEE? It's not mentioned on the CBSA website, but some online prep sources have it in their practice material. You expect someone to tell you what is in the test ? All I can tell you is that there's "brain" component in the test, lots of it ;)

Re: cbsa - asfc quebec applicants

FYI : SLE Oral tests are being administered, they are done remotely, over MS Teams call.

At first part you have to be on camera for identification and instructions, then the actual test is done via Audio only.
