Can anyone comment on the length of days at depot? Wake up time to when we are done training and have our personal time ?
"Working days" are from 800 - 1630 but you're waking up at 530 and you don't stop working after 1630. There is always something to do.

Do you mind elaborating on the food at Depot.

There are days where food is amazing and meh.

Provided if you have time to eat.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

No such thing as bad weather, only bad gear.

Still managed to run for 5km in -30 when I first arrived here. At least the humidity is super low.

Weather will be the least of your worries here, haha.

Except Ontario.
Someone got posted to Ontario, straight to Toronto.

Grapevine is saying that he was super specialized already.

It happens.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

I’m hopeful for K div. But I’ll just be happy to graduate and get posted honestly. Good to know my top 2 provinces seem to be the goto destinations. Do most people seem to be getting what they want or close enough at least? I have no idea. You get interviewed around half way into your training on w...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

But when you look at where people are getting posted every week, it is crazy. Crazy in what aspect: Completely randomly, very remote, or is there a pattern to it? I’m personally not too worried, just looking for insight on what you mean. At the end of the day I’ll happily go where they tell me to r...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Just replying about the previous topic about Depot.

Yeah, the amount of troops loaded up here is nuts. 40 troops in total, but not all of them are here yet.

But when you look at where people are getting posted every week, it is crazy.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Would a diagnosis of ADHD prevent someone from becoming a police officer? Keeping in mind that no medications for it are ever taken and a recent revaluation from a psychologist concluded that it might have been a misdiagnosis and there is no indication for ADHD. The first evaluation that concluded ...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello, Can someone please explain what happens at the PEP stage? Do you just go over the RMAQ in detail while being attached to the instrument for the last 20 minutes? Or is there more to this step than just the RMAQ portion considering it's a 4 to 5-hour long process? I don't think anyone will ans...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Hello, I have recently completed my medical stage and have my psychological examination booked for Monday. Does anyone have any idea of how long a troop offer could take after my psychological examination is completed? As Sig mentioned above. It is almost useless to compare timelines. You are going...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Just to throw a wrench in this thought, I was the Right Marker of my troop and it was aaaawwwwweesome. I had fun as Right Marker. Sure, it’s added stress and you’re basically herding cats, but the responsibility is a great challenge and you get to tell people to steady (shut) up! Yeah, even though ...
