Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Has anyone heard anything in regards to a PARE extension? In Ontario there aren't many PARE testing facilities open and the closest one to me is 5+ hrs away. It seems like there are many people who will be "OITP ready" with expired PARE and it's somewhat unreasonable to expect everyone to renew it ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I got an email that I passed my alternate written exam and I was granted my security clearance in November 2019. Did you have a separate email saying you were ready for the next intake and what did they say?! I’m curious as to why I haven’t gotten one yet 🤦🏻‍♀️ What a process. Nearly 3 years its ta...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Don't know if anyone went on the CBSA web site lately. They changed some stuff on the hiring process. I does state now that for Becoming a border services officer it can take up to three years, from start to finish. Which seems to be a lot more realistic when seeing most of our timelines.

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I'm over 5hrs away from Ottawa so I will only make the drive in desperation  5hrs that's not to bad, my minimum drive for basically every single test or interview was 5hrs. Interview - 5hrs psych tests - 7hrs SLE - 5hrs PARE - 10hrs sec. Inter - 10hrs Medical was the exception was able to to...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I just drove up to Ottawa from Toronto last week to policefit for the PARE test. They are the only ones open from what I know, it went well for me! I'm over 5hrs away from Ottawa so I will only make the drive in desperation  5hrs that's not to bad, my minimum drive for basically every single...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Just got this email from CBSA recruitment, Good morning, Thank you for your email. Due to Covid-19, classes at Rigaud have been postponed, which means that classes will resume next year. Upon review of your application, your MMPI expires April 5th 2021, so to avoid delays, we will redo your MMPI in...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I passed my psych interview Feb 2019. 2 years later Feb 2021... I guess recruiting figures I won't be in Rigaud before Feb of next year. I am in the exact same boat as you done Psych in Feb of 2019 and received the email to renew even if it expires on Feb of 2021. As for the Medical - Health Canada...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I got an email from recruitment on the 25th to redo my psych. I had to fill out the release form. Due back by the 6th of July. I haven't heard anything from CBSA about redoing my medical or pare. Why you have to redo MMPI now? According to your timeline you just did last year, not expire yet! :?: I...

For everyone who got the psychological evaluation email. Did you have to fill out a release form this time and submit it back? Since I didn't have to the last time
Yeah I do have to fill the release form and send it back

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Glad to see other people got this email as well haha! My assumption is that they are projecting our Riguad residency to take place after the set expiry of our psychology evaluation. However, purely speculation. Regardless, if we can pass it once, we can pass it again! Yeah the same email last night...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

The process I applied to is different. It was confirmed at interview that those in my process would know their potential POE before starting the formation in Rigaud. They also did a small communities process before, which was quite specific on the POE that would need to be filled. I don't know how ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Is recruitment always this much of a joke? If this is really a career you want to pursue, I'd be mindful of what you're saying on a public forum. That being said, and as other users have replied saying, much of this process will be done on your own dime. I had to travel two hours for my interview. ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

What is everyone's delay between the integrity interview and final security clearance decision? I have seen a few person's timeline where it's within the same month and others seem to have taken months? I just had an interesting position offer but since it's 3 year commitment, I don't want to bail ...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

For those who have re-done the medical - does that include the hearing test, or just the doctor-signed forms? They had me redo my hearing test as well Thanks. Least of my concerns- but do you remember where we had to send the invoices for recompensation? If I remember correctly the paperwork was gi...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

So there were 125 applicants left for the 006 competition and 525 for the 007 competition. I don't know how many have failed a part of the process but that was what was left. I had heard they no longer use the 006 competition, maybe someone who is in the 006 can confirm, they had said that if you w...
