Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Hey! I received my invite to training and I was assigned to work at Outports and Postal Operations District. Does anyone have more insight and details on what goes on in this location? Does anyone know if the assignments are ever reconsidered and if I would be able to request a change to work at an...

Has anyone from the GTA region received a LoO or invite to training recently? I'm still waiting to hear back.
I received an invitation to training for the GTA region but I have not received a LoO as of yet, they told me I would receive that the first day of training.

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Can anyone give me some insight on what the shifts will be like for a SBSO in the GTA Region? I am not familiar with shift work so I don't really know what to expect. I ended up finding some information on SBSO shift work on the /r/CanadaPublicServants Reddit page. If anyone is wondering, a former ...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Out of curiousity, did they place you at a specific site within the GTA after your training? That is of course, if you are comfortable answering. I won't go into detail with the exact location but they did state where I will be working if I pass the training. Okay no worries. Congratulations! :thum...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Congrats! What region? Afaik training is paid at the same rate as your working rate. I know the PARE focuses on cardio/muscular endurance so exercising it that type of way would probably be beneficial for the student position. I heard this was the case from someone who was a CBSA student clerk a fe...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Just got an invite to training today! Does anyone know if the 5 week training will be paid at a different rate or if its paid at all? Also, how can I prepare myself to be ready for the physical demands of the training ? I would consider myself in shape but I would love any pointers that may help me...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

I have received both my security clearance, my medical clearance and I was fitted for my uniforms in December during my first in-person interview. I have yet to receive an official letter of offer and I am waiting anxiously to hear from them. Should I expect to hear from them within the next week? A...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

They offer an honours degree, 4 year program, and a general degree, 3 year program, but they are both considered official ...
