Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Sounds pretty much like my lady in Toronto for the Psych. She didn't smile, interrupted every single one of my answers, and told me the interview was over halfway through one of my answers. I figured she was just trying to see if I got riled. I was frustrated but I just played her game and just ans...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Psych you need to be honest and not bounce around questions. You need to keep a flow going. I'm not sure what questions you struggled with but generally you want to not overthink the questions either. Maybe I was thrown off by the similar questions which were "re-worded", the tactic they use are re...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Well, I didn’t pass the psych assessment as per CSC. I knew something was odd when I left the interview. I honestly didn’t know how to answer some of the questions nor did I have an answer for some. It’s frustrating that I don’t know what I failed on, and now I have to wait two years to re-do the as...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Whoever has an interview coming up should ask how many officers are needed/required for 2019. How many for what regions as it can be a good way to ensure you choose the right region when prompted too. That way we'll all find out. When I had my interview back in Oct. 2018, I asked the same question....

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Maybe say something along the lines that you were informed by one of your references they received the package but the second person you put as a referee did not receive anything. Just say that you would like to confirm his/her email address (and write it in the email). My second reference package ...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

So I had my interview yesterday and thought it went pretty well. After reading lots of the responses on here that their point of references are contacted immediately after and the day of the interview. My contacts didn’t get a call or email. Did I not pass the interview then or do the references so...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

Hey guys, I'm just covering all the bases before the interview. I was given an address but I'm not sure what building it is on google?? I am not going to post any address on here for whatever reasons. Can someone tell me if you're looking on google maps, is it the building/area called "Ontario Staff...

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada

I'm curious, I have an interview coming up and I have a beard which I maintain. Having facial hair helps with my skin condition I have.

My question is, would the interviewers judge me based on having a beard when I come into the interview?
