Muslims don't wear turbans..
Some do. Muslim clerics generally.
No they dont. You have less brain cells than a door mat. Do you even know what a turban is? Why does everyone love to chime in so much, god you are so stupid.
Shia Muslims wear turbans during traditional ceremonies.

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

The HSD is slowly moving towards 5/4. Having worked 5/4 and the 4/4, I found my sleep schedule was better on the 4/4, but my personal life was better on the 5/4. YMMV. As for calls, they can come at any time - I was given an offer three weeks prior to starting, others were given an offer two weeks ...

Has anyone heard of anybody getting the “call” for the August class?

There’s one called the 5/4 which makes it so you get every other weekend off, but sometimes you’re doing 2 days and 3 nights in a row. I’m not familiar enough with it to explain.
Thanks! So would you say that the 4/4 is slowly getting pushed out of the picture?

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Does anyone have any insight about the following regions? Middlesex, Elgin County, Oxford, Lambton Shores, Huron, and Brant. Thanks in advance! :) I’m posted in Elgin County and absolutely love it. We’re the last detachment in west region still on the 4/4 schedule. Port Stanley is busy during the s...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Looking for some insight. Do you guys think that due to the budget cut with the OPP, the class sizes will be affected? How do you think this will effect the recruitment process?

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

They don't hinder you; however, if you're near the end of the process with a service and then throw an application in with another (From the beginning) how do you think that looks? Not very good. If you applied to a few at the same time, then it's different. Very true, it makes it look like I am no...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

I don’t think other applications hinder yourself for OPP. I applied in Oct 2017 and completed the process by January 2018. I applied to CKPS in December 2017 because their application only opened once a year at that time. I then got to background phase of CKPS when my offer from OPP came in. I woul...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

So you clearly don't want to work with the OPP then i guess. My dream career is policing, and I want to achieve that goal in whatever way I possibly can. If that means applying to more than one service to boost my chances than of course I am going to do that. I asked if it would hinder my chances w...

Re: OPP Applicant Updates Thread

Would hinder my chances with OPP if I were to apply to a different service? I would just like to know some of your opinions on this. I completed the process with OPP just waiting for an offer or deferall letter, I was wondering if applying to a different service being this far in the process would ...
