Any word on what the deal is for boots? Do they supply them or do we buy them and get recompensated?
When I went to pick up my uniform, I got my boots as well. They had a boot truck where we all tried on boots and then chose one that fit best, I didn’t have to pay.

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

This might be a stupid question but student training (5 weeks including CDT) as all done at your specific port right? Or is it at rigaud? From what I have been told, it’s a mix of classroom training at a location close to your port (sometimes the actual port) and CDT is at a location that can hold ...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

So has anyone actually been told yet what they are going to be paid? I'm pretty much at the last stage (pending final orientation meeting) and still haven't been given an answer other than the range on the website which is not very helpful because it says steps are not directly rated to years of ed...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

I just got my clearance yesterday! I had my integrity interview on March 1st so it took about a week for me. I was worried I was gonna be stuck waiting months like some of you guys. It sucks to be in the dark about these things. I was so anxious for a week I can’t even imagine for months! Lucky you...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Did any BC applicants receive an email with YVR employee RAIC and Transport Canada application forms? And is there any information as to how it is decided where you are placed? In the email it said either at YVR or in the Metro District? If anyone has some insight that would be helpful! Wait whaaaa...

Re: 2018 FSWEP - Student Border Services Officer

Did anyone attend their security clearance interview? I have mine on Friday. I know its pretty straight forward but was wondering what can I expect, format etc? :D The security interview is pretty relaxed... they will just ask questions about any sort of criminal history and generally about who you...
