Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

So I guess I will not stress too much about it. Thanks again! Hello guys, Looking for some advice on this forum. So my wife is driving my ca...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I’m with you on that!! Been intake ready since August 2019!!! I’m really hoping for a winter 2021 intake as well!! Same here!! Here’s hoping we all get to meet this winter 🤞🏽 I believe there is class just sent in sept from March. So likely the earliest I'm assuming we will get a invite is April 202...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I’ll be headed up to Fraser at the end of December if everything goes well in Rigaud now.. it was either pleasant camp, stewart or Fraser to choose from 😂 I’ve seen the housing pictures, Pleasant camp did look great with the garage for sure - not much to be excited about for Fraser it looks like th...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Its not that bad up here in Beaver Creek , almost free housing ,plenty of OT, a 4 on 4 off schedule, and the landscape is beautiful . LDP's are not a bad option , I took one back in 2017 . Where else can you make $100,000 + with almost no rent. Gives you the freedom to travel, pay off debt, buy a n...

Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting

Just got a message that I was deferred till next year march. Sounds very devastating. Any ideas on what to do next guys? Ya, improve your resume and reapply if this is actually what you want to do. You may have better fortunes next time, or you may get deferred again. What stage did you make it to?...

Re: Ottawa Police Applicants

Oh my bad haha. I applied on January 3rd and received an invite to the PBQ on January 27th. It's a great time to be in the process as Ottawa is looking to hire a lot and the community of Ottawa is quite engaging. There's a small-town community feel even though the city is quite dispersed. Covid real...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Good thing you aren't HR because no way in hell would I apply if that was the deal. It's almost as dumb as the ATS most Ontario polices services have. Sounds worse, who would want to pay their own pysch eval and medical? On top of the other things I’m spending close to $1000 just to see an intervie...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Wow, that's a pretty substantial increase. It's not an issue for myself either, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't appreciate it regardless. With receiving over 20,000 applicants per posting (I think that number is correct?), I just find it hard to believe they would need to make it any more att...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

How about a quote of the day ? "The Officer Allowance at the College and the mobility clause could be limiting the ability of the CBSA to remain competitive and to effectively place Officer Trainees where they are needed. Other organizations, some of which are competing with the CBSA for applicants...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

The own CBSA audit shows that over 30% of the current BSOs are unhappy about process/placement/transfers. Lots of "whiners" work in CBSA, if we look them from your perspective ;) I can almost bet on the fact that most go to CBSA wishing to get their specific POE or region, so the happy ones are not...

Re: Ask the CBSA!

So will there be a spring training camp? I would assume those invites would have been sent already, everything is finished for me, and I am just waiting on the online portion. I got an invite for my online portion roughly a month before the online started, and the online portion started 7 weeks bef...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

As if I just got an interview invite after they previously bounced me from the process? I won't complain but can somebody make this make sense? And as if they give me 8:15 am in Rigaud (I live in Ottawa) when I don't have a car of my own. Does anybody know if I'd be subject to knowing my PoE in adv...
