Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

Don't know if anyone went on the CBSA web site lately. They changed some stuff on the hiring process. I does state now that for Becoming a border services officer it can take up to three years, from start to finish. Which seems to be a lot more realistic when seeing most of our timelines. I did not...

Wonder if you fail the Pare if a redo is allowed while in the process?
I'm not entirely sure but I think as long as you have valid results before OITP, you can redo the PARE as many times as necessary as there is no waiting period if you fail. As usual, best to confirm with recruitment though.

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

They confirmed that I was "ready" for OITP 16A. While it sounds hopeful and is far better than the previous canned responses, the phrasing actually doesn't say you "will" receive the invite for 16A. Just that I'm ready. So, I remain hopeful but a little skeptical based on my last 3 years in the pro...

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I received this exact email except the dates were specific to my timeline. I was very hopeful that that’s what this email meant as well but didn’t someone post a couple pages back but they were given a class number for the next intake? I was also told to redo my pare before a certain date so that I...

Wow thats a good news. It says "They Confirmed" that you are ready for next intake. So I guess you are going in next intake as soon as they open and ready and this is not a Generic email for those who already completed their all stages before OIPT correct?
I sure hope so! 🤞

Re: GENERAL CBSA APPLICANT CHIT CHAT

I received the same email today for being exempt. It further states that if you have valid results from the GCT 2-314 and WCPT-351 tests, you don't have to write it. I actually did those tests when I applied in 2014 before I received a deferral later in the process. Does anyone know how long those ...

I was an attending recruit and have no other information than what I am sharing with you at this time. Allot of you guys are eager...
