Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Speaking of getting things back on topic... There are a few of us who are in the security clearance stage. I found this resource on the Treasury Board website I thought I'd share. Appendix B has a lot of info about the different levels of Security Clearance for the Government and gave me some insig...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

With regards to the entrance exam it seems now every applicant has to successfully pass this. Just want to confirm that detail as I have two college...

Re: Ottawa Police Applicants

Got an invite for blended this morning, it’ll be through google duo video, pretty cool! I applied January 5th and this is the first time I have been contacted regarding the next step in my application. Also waiting 14 months now just for my security clearance alone from the RCMP, I applied April 20...

Re: Ottawa Police Applicants

Good luck! The certificate of result is obtained two weeks after the consultation once they assess your results and put their stamp of approval. Based on the current information that is subject to change, you'll still be required to pass the PREP and shuttle run before attending OPC. Train hard and ...

Re: Hired!

Where are these Ottawa recruits being told they’re going June 15? Has anyone else heard OPC for June 15? Still currently in the process for OPS, but nearing the end. From my buddy who went through last class, the recruits are sent to Algonquin College in Ottawa prior to attending OPC. Not sure if t...

Re: Ottawa Police Applicants

I'm at the 3 month mark and I've got my psych booked for next week.

Things are still moving along. No clue what's happening after that with OPC being closed.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

When I was a PSE with the RCMP, I was also informed that CM's and PSE's could continue to receive their rate of pay should they apply and be accepted to attend Depot.

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

Are you Psac? PA group? If so article 45 of your agreement is the leave you want to access. In theory they shouldn't deny it but SC can be not as smart with their decision making. Worst case you quit and reapply to SC even as a casual until you find something. The person that started the initial di...

Re: RCMP APPLICANT GENERAL CHIT CHAT

From conversations I've had with recruiting, CAF mbrs on LWOP potentially qualify for a higher rate of pay on enrollment. Has anyone taken this avenue and if so, did you put your release in while on LWOP? I don't know about CAF, but I assume it is the same. CBSA, CSC etc get their old rate of pay r...
